Why many in particular are disappointed with new league #SBCs

In # the # are back, but they are not really well received. We show you why the #FUT community is so disappointed.

What are League SBCs? League SBCs are league-specific Squad Building Challenges in which cards from the respective leagues must be collected and turned in to receive certain rewards.

In previous FIFA parts, these SBCs were extremely elaborate and there was a separate #SBC for every single team in each league. If, after a long grind, you completed all the teams, you received, in addition to the whole packs of each task, a strong and exclusive special card at the end.

So all the work and tedious collecting could be well worth it. Here are examples of strong leagues SBC cards of the last years:

But already in last year’s FIFA 21 this changed and the strong special cards were cancelled. In FIFA 22 the SBCs are now even worse according to fans, which causes a lot of frustration in the community.

This is why the new league SBCs are not well received

These are the new leagues SBCs: EA has simultaneously released the first three league SBCs in . These are SBCs for the French Ligue 1, the Dutch Eredivisie and the American MLS.

The SBCs are structured differently than in previous years and no longer require you to have cards of all teams in each league. Each league SBC now offers only 4 tasks, each of which requires trading in different cards from each league. Gold and Silver players may also be necessary here.

Rewards of the SBCs in FIFA 22 clearly worse than before

These are the problems with the new SBCs: The biggest problems with the new league SBCs are the packs that you can get as rewards. Namely, these are mostly non-exchangeable, which means that you can’t earn coins with them. This can be quite annoying, for example, if you draw a strong card from a very good Mega Pack, but it doesn’t fit into your team.

But besides unchangeable packs, FUT players are also disappointed by the renewed absence of special cards. These were precisely what made the leagues SBC special. In FIFA 22, this aspect is now missing again.

Additionally, players are disappointed not to be able to complete more SBCs for each individual team. So in FIFA 21 there were still 18 SBCs for the Eredivisie, which meant more packs and more chances to get good cards. In FIFA 22 there are now only 4.

The only positive aspect for many is that the SBCs are repeatable. So you have the possibility to earn relatively strong packs over and over again during the FUT – Season , even if they are unchangeable.

What the community says: On reddit, the new league SBCs are being diligently discussed and frustration clearly prevails. FIFA fans say among other things:

  • takedagreek: “A real shame. Some of my favorite players were league SBC players like Promes or Lacazette. It was really fun to prepare for the long grind. It’s very disappointing.”
  • Master0fDesaster: “This was the only thing I was looking forward to since FIFA 21 ended. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.”
  • Ponyville FC: “I miss the league special cards.”
  • cappo40: “I have to admit, I’m disappointed. I enjoyed building the individual teams, even if there was one team that was too expensive.”

However, there are also positive voices:

  • oreohsehun: “The SBCs are still good and better than last year. I’d rather have this kind of SBC than have to give away every single team.”
  • t0ddp23: “A 4-part SBC with a repeatable Mega Pack is already interesting. Looks like it could be easily grinded.”

What is your opinion on the new league SBCs? Will you be completing them? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
