In Fortnite, since the launch of Chapter 3, there are golden crowns that you can earn. However, many people don’t know what they’re for, how to earn them, and most importantly, how to keep them. We’ll show you everything you need to know on My MMO.
What are crowns?
Crowns are new items implemented in Fortnite with update 19.00 and with the new 3rd chapter. You’ll only get them if you’re good, and they’ll be placed in your inventory when you prove yourself in a match.
Once you have a crown, you can prove yourself again in a match, receiving a free emote from Epic to show off to your friends.

What brings me the crown?
Crowns are used to increase your crown victories for the special emote “Crowning Achievement”. You get this immediately after you get your first crown victory. So if you get a crown and win a round with it, the number in your counter will increase.
The crowns change their appearance the more victories you own.
That’s not all though, if you have a crown in your inventory, each XP interaction will give you double the amount. So if you got 1,000 XP for a kill, a crown will give you 2,000 XP. So the crowns are worth it even if you’re not looking to brag.
How do I get a crown?
You can only get crowns in two ways. Either you kill a player in a match who has a crown. You will then pick it up and automatically receive it in your inventory. Or you can win an epic victory and get a crown for sure.
How can I lose them?
Any death will result in the immediate loss of the crown. So recklessly avoid fighting with your status symbol.
Many players also always try to find a good lobby by leaving the match when the Battle Bus is running to look for the right players. So if you don’t like your players, leave the match before the bus starts, or you will lose them.
What is the best way to keep them?
Should you be equipped with the new status symbol, careful play is a must. Try to match yourself in a match with other premium players. Pay attention to the bar that shows the name and the skin icon.
If these players also have a royal icon, it will be shown there. From experience, players with the rare headdress fight more carefully and cautiously than players without.
Also, make sure that you have distance from other enemies when a new storm phase appears. Each time a new storm eye forms, your jewelry will flash, making your position detectable.
