Weapons Fortnite – Grappler

Grappler

The Grappler was a Rare (Spy Games only), Epic and Mythic (Chapter 2 – Season 2 only) item in . It can be fired at nearby objects to pull the player towards it (fall damage still applies). The shots could be chained to travel greater distances. The Grappler has 10 charges and will be discarded when all charges have been depleted. It can be found in floor loot, Treasure Chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas (Epic only).

It was introduced along with the High Stakes Event.

The Grappler was vaulted in the 7.20 Content Update, making it only available in Playground, Creative, Team Rumble, Slide and Unvaulted. It was vaulted due to just gaining high ground on someone in a matter of seconds, due to that item being extremely overpowered. In Chapter 2 – Season 1, it was removed from Playground and Team Rumble.

In Chapter 2 – Season 2, the Grappler has been unvaulted, but only the Mythic rarity. The original Epic Grappler however stays in the vault. The Mythic variant has infinite uses. It can only be obtained by defeating Skye at the The Shark. Only one can be found per match and drops with Skye’s Assault Rifle.

The Mythic Skye’s Grappler has been nerfed to having a firerate of 0.65 in Patch 12.2, it now has a slower recharge rate due to glitches.

Skye’s Grappler has been vaulted on Patch 13.00 and has been replaced with the new Jules’ Glider Gun which is very similar to the Batman Grapnel Gun. When you shoot the gun, you get flung towards the spot where you aimed for and your glider will be re-deployed. For more infomation, click here.

How does Fortnite work?

“Fortnite: Battle Royale” comes in a variety of game modes. Players can either compete alone, in pairs or in teams of four. The teams are formed either from known players or randomly from strangers. Team members can exchange information and discuss via voice chat.

The gameplay is the same for all modes: At the beginning, all online players are in a virtual waiting room until they are randomly assigned to a game. A round starts with 100 opponents landing on a deserted island. The goal is to beat the other players and to be the last to survive – if you play as a team, you all win together. Opponents are not shown on the overview map after landing on the island. The player must therefore always be on the lookout for attacks. To survive, raw materials and equipment must be collected. Building materials such as wood or stone are obtained with a pickaxe. With the help of these raw materials, protective walls and entire forts can be built to protect against enemy attacks. Players can also overcome cliffs or other obstacles by building stairs and bridges themselves. Weapons and health kits are hidden in crates and piñatas. Good equipment increases the chances of surviving against an opponent. Searching, hiding and building are important parts of the game.
