: Black Ops

Campaign

The Widowmaker only appears in the Numbers and Victor Charlie missions, but is also used by Frank Woods and Joseph Bowman in Crash Site. In the campaign you can access a unique feature, namely the ability to fire multiple missiles at once. To do this, you have to go into the sights and press the sprint/hold air button. A number next to the sight will begin to rotate to indicate how many missiles are now being fired.

Multiplayer

In multiplayer, you can only get the Widowmaker by getting supplies, which requires five kills (4 with Hardliner). He has four missiles loaded and another eight in reserve, after which he disappears when you have fired them all. If you die after you’ve already shot at least one missile, you don’t respawn with it. If you change , the Widowmaker also disappears, as with the Deathbringer and Valkyrie missiles. The Widowmaker appears in the Weapon Game and Sniper competitions.

You can target planes with it. The Widowmaker is semi-automatic and does extremely high damage. With its total of 12 missiles, it is extremely accurate. Nimbleness is very useful if you have one, because then you can’t be caught cold during the long reload time, which would make you lose it. With the Pro version, you even the time it takes to go into the sights, which is also a real help. Bulletproof Vest means you don’t die instantly if you accidentally fire a missile too close to yourself.

  • Even if you reload only one missile, it looks like all the chambers are empty.
  • When the Widowmaker is used in multiplayer, the announcers on both teams don’t mention the firing sequence until the first shot is fired, just like with the Deathbringer and Valkyrie missiles.

  • In the campaign, the screen says “Widowmaker,” but all characters call the weapon M202.
  • Before a patch, a notification during an online game said “Widowmaker equipped” for all players. After the patch, this notification appears only for the players from the team of the owner of the weapon.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
