The SWAT-556 is an assault rifle from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Multiplayer
The SWAT-556 is the third assault rifle. You unlock it at level 10. By default, it fires with accurate three-shot bursts, but the fire mode lets you switch to fully automatic. However, this increases the recoil and drastically decreases the accuracy and range, which means you need four hits to kill someone from most distances.
The SWAT-556 has a unique exception in that the magazine expansion only gives you 39 bullets, unlike all other assault rifles with 30-round magazines that get 40 bullets. This was done so that you don’t have a single bullet left at the end of a magazine. If you switch from fully automatic mode back to volley, it is still possible to fire single bullets at the end.
If you shoot fully automatic with the SWAT-556, the recoil has been increased thanks to patch 1.04. Oddly enough, the same patch did not reduce the damage from a distance, so that the weapon does not become weaker, meaning that the first change could have been saved.
The January 26 patch increased the weapon’s minimum damage, which means it always kills with 4 bullets no matter what range, even with a silencer. The time between volleys has been reduced, which means that the rate of fire is now about 5% higher. The multiplier on headshots has been doubled to 1.4x, allowing you to kill with one less shot at range, provided one before that went into the head. Also, the penetration has been increased from medium to high, which means you can now shoot through walls just as well as with a light machine gun.
Info
- During reloading you can see that the weapon has no visible pistol grip.
- After the January 26 patch, a nasty bug crept in when using the SWAT-556 in fire mode. When firing fully automatic, the damage dropped so low that it sometimes took several magazines to
- kill an enemy from a certain range. This was fixed shortly after the patch.
- In documents from the beta version, the weapon was called SIG556.
- In the French version, the SWAT-556 with hybrid sights is called “SIG556 Viseur Hybrid”, a holdover from the beta version.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
