The SCAR-H is an assault rifle featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty Online, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Campaign
The SCAR-H is often used by the Rangers, so it serves as a starter weapon in the Wolverines! and Exodus missions. You can find it in the American campaign from dead allies or in certain locations.
It has several attachments depending on the situation; a foregrip in The Old Lyre, a red dot sight and a shotgun in Wolverines!, sometimes merely an ACOG sight, an M203 or a thermal sight. In Exodus, she has a laser marker to sight in targets for the armored vehicle called Honey Badger.
In The Only Nice Day… was Yesterday, the SCAR-H is also the starter weapon for Task Force 141, plus it is dropped from dead allies in Like Old Times and Loose Ends, usually with shotgun or M203.
Multiplayer
The SCAR-H is unlocked at level 8 and is a popular weapon thanks to its high damage and low recoil. Probably the biggest drawback is the low magazine capacity. It also has a slower reload animation than other assault rifles, which means dexterity should always be combined with this weapon.
Without a silencer and at close range the SCAR-H kills with three hits, with the extra firepower it takes only two. From further distances you need four hits, but if you have the extra, it takes only three. Firepower is useful because of the weapon’s low rate of fire compared to the other automatic assault rifles.
The SCAR-H has a very clear sight through which you have a clear and unobstructed view, which is why most players forgo attachments like the red dot sight. In hardcore game modes, the SCAR-H kills with one hit from any range unless the opponent is using Painkiller, Last Chance, Second Chance, or is behind cover. Since the weapon has almost no momentum and a low rate of fire, you can use the ACOG sight without feeling any major drawbacks.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Multiplayer
The SCAR-H is only unlocked at level 40 this time. In terms of feel, it is very similar to its predecessor from Modern Warfare 2.
This means that it has a low rate of fire, low but noticeable recoil, and enormous damage. The SCAR-H kills with three hits even from a remarkable range, a patch on January 26, 2013 increased that to four hits. The headshot multipliers were changed so that the SCAR-H always kills with three headshots at range, two at close range.
Referring to these stats, it is best to use the SCAR-H at medium range. It can also do ranged combat, but it’s best to fire in bursts for that, because the recoil is high enough to deflect off the target. In close combat, the SCAR-H is significantly weaker because its slow rate of fire defeats most submachine guns and shotguns. For that, there’s the laser marker to improve hip-fire accuracy, the fast magazine to avoid wasting valuable time reloading, or the quick-draw grip to aim faster. Although the reload time is quite long, the fast magazine is not mandatory because you can stop reloading early.
For ranged combat, the grip turns out to be useful because it lowers the recoil somewhat, and the magazine extension also ensures that you can give continuous fire for longer. From medium range, any attachment is fine in principle. Using a rear sight is questionable, however, because the SCAR-H’s rear sight and front sight are very clear and an EOTech sight will probably take away more sight than it adds. The silencer is not a deal breaker because the gun really does kill extremely far with three hits, but it does slow down the time to reset the crosshairs when firing. Therefore, it’s best to pair it with the fire mode.
Thanks to its colossal range and damage that is unrivaled among assault rifles, the SCAR-H can easily take on the role of a light machine gun, but without the slow movement or long reload, especially with the magazine extension. Combined with lightweight, you can quickly reach an important point early in the game and provide supporting fire for teammates. The volley fire of the fire mode also turns out to be extremely harmonious with the SCAR-H’s play style.
The biggest advantage of the SCAR-H is its huge damage from a distance. On most, if not all maps, you basically always kill with three hits, which is not the case with any other fully automatic assault rifle. Add in the headshot multiplier and the slow rate of fire is quickly forgotten, as you can often kill with two hits. In close combat, however, the SCAR-H often performs miserably, plus it is defeated by faster assault rifles like the AN-94 or MTAR, which have the same damage at that range but a faster rate of fire.
Survival Combat
The SCAR-H can be obtained on the Origins map at the mysterious crate. It has extremely high damage and kills with one bullet to the head until round 9, and with only two until round 13. Double fire malt beer makes the weapon effective until round 23 because the double damage works great with the increased rate of fire, which of course can also result in increased recoil.
If you punch the SCAR-H, its new name is “Agatharnian Reaper”, possible attachments are the Reflex Sight, ACOG Sight, Fast Magazine or the Pointfinder, but for that you have to punch it several times. It does higher damage than the punched AK-47, which was previously the most powerful assault rifle in survival combat. Compared to the punched AK-47, Reznov’s Revenge, it has a slower rate of fire (650 RPM), but also more ammo (40 in the magazine, 480 in reserve), while Reznov’s Revenge retains its original magazine of 30 bullets. To save ammo and take advantage of its strength, you should always aim it at the head.

Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
