The Remington New Model Army is a revolver that appears exclusively on the Buried survival map in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
The Remington New Model Army is identical in function to the Python but has the ability to reload all six rounds at once. It is slightly weaker than the Python and loses its power around round 11, but if you punch it, it has higher multipliers for the chest and head.
If you stash the Remington New Model Army in the Weapons Locker in Buried, it becomes a Python in Die Rise or TranZit, unless you punch it, in which case it is called a Cobra. If you place a Python in TranZit or Die Rise, you get a Remington New Model Army in Buried.
If you punch the Remington New Model Army, its new name is “Sassafras.” It remains effective until about turn 40, and the cylinder’s capacity is increased from six to twelve rounds, and you get double the amount of spare ammo.
Info
- The Remington New Model Army appears in the introductory scene of Origins but is not obtainable on the map.
- Sassafras, the name of the punched revolver, is a reference to a group of trees native to eastern North America and eastern Asia. It was largely used to make malt beer, which can be associated with the Old West and thus Buried.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
