The Peacemaker is a submachine gun from Call of Duty: Black Ops II that appeared with the Revolution DLC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Multiplayer
The Peacemaker is as light as a submachine gun, but has the range and accuracy of an assault rifle at the expense of its close combat capabilities. It has one of the lowest maximum damage and slowest rate of fire of all submachine guns, along with the PDW-57 and MSMC. As a result, it often loses in close combat even to assault rifles or light machine guns. In terms of range, however, it outperforms all other submachine guns and even many an assault rifle. To compensate for this massive range, you kill very slowly in close combat and the recoil is above average. Also, with the Peacemaker you go to target within 0.25 seconds, which is as fast as an assault rifle, not 0.20 seconds like the other submachine guns.
To unlock diamond camouflage for the Peacemaker, you must have achieved gold camouflage for every other submachine gun (including the Peacemaker). However, to unlock Diamond for other submachine guns, you do not need to have camouflage for the Peacemaker.
Info
- The Peacemaker is the first weapon in the history of the game series to be added to downloadable content.
- “5.7×28” is written on the side of the weapon, as it is on the PDW-57.
- Another lettering on the weapon reads “SEA AIR LAND” under the lettering just mentioned, “ARBITER” in the silhouette of a bird, and “PEACEKEEPER1227, INC J317-M81215-6112.”
- According to Murat Ainuddin, Lead Artist at Treyarch, the Peacemaker was created to prevent attacks from terrorists and protect especially important people.
- The Peacemaker has a split muzzle flash, which makes it look like you are firing the weapon Akimbo from the third-person view.
- Bots in local multiplayer and combat training can use the weapon even if you haven’t downloaded the DLC.
- If you play the sniper game mode, you can also get the weapon by chance without the DLC. Alternatively, you can pick it up from the ground from a dead enemy if they have the DLC.
- On COD cards that feature the Peacemaker (unlocked by completing challenges with the weapon), the Peacemaker is seen from the side, not angled. Also, the contrast of the colors is not as great as on the other cards.
- Unlocking the Peacemaker sounds like most assault rifles.
- The Peacemaker has a unique foregrip if you don’t have the gold or diamond camo.
- The Peacemaker and the Combat Knife are the only weapons from Black Ops II’s multiplayer that do not appear in the campaign.
