Weapons Call of Duty-MP7

The HK MP7 is a German submachine gun featured in : Modern Warfare: Mobilized, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized

Campaign

The MP7 is only used by the SAS in the campaign, but quite often. In some missions, it replaces the M9 as a secondary weapon.

Multiplayer

The MP7 is also available in multiplayer for the coalition. It is one of the three that can be used immediately at the start, the others being the MP5 and the M4. The MP7 has very low recoil and a high rate of fire, plus a very clear sight (like the pistols, only bigger). Together with the magazine of 40 bullets, it is the best weapon to use at the start.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Multiplayer

In multiplayer, the MP7 is unlocked at level 74, making it the last submachine gun to unlock. With 40 bullets, it has the second-largest magazine of all submachine guns (behind the P90’s 50 bullets) and has a high rate of fire and high damage coupled with low recoil. It does slightly more damage from a distance than the other submachine guns and you kill with five hits instead of six. This makes the MP7 not only a reliable melee weapon but also an option for ranged combat if need be. It almost has the qualities of an assault rifle, only with the speed of a submachine gun.

The MP7’s sights are very clear, so no support is needed there. However, the momentum can distract the player from the target. Therefore, you should play with range and stability, two extras. Since the MP7 is used frequently in multiplayer, you can often replenish your ammo from fallen players.

Survival combat

The MP7 is available in Survival Combat from level 13 and costs $2000. It is very powerful due to its low recoil and high rate of fire, and also extremely popular thanks to the low availability level. The large magazine helps to take out multiple enemies or work effectively against juggernauts. Thanks to the long-range, it can be compared to an assault rifle. The MP7 remains effective until you have to fight against the heavy assault troops with the FAD.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance

The MP7 also makes an appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance, where it looks exactly like it did in Mobilized in terms of appearance, stats and performance. The only differences are a different HUD icon and a little more recoil.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Campaign

The MP7 is unlocked for the class editor after the mission Achilles Cloaking and appears in the very next mission, Odysseus.

Multiplayer
The MP7 returns in Black Ops II and has a magazine of 40 bullets (54 with the magazine expansion). It has a grip, but unlike in Modern Warfare 3, it doesn’t fold out unless you install the foregrip as an attachment. The optical recoil has been greatly increased in contrast to its predecessors and the gun recoils upwards, but still predictably and in a pattern, thus making headshots easier. The sights are clear and therefore optical supports are unnecessary. Thanks to the high recoil and low damage from a distance, the weapon is made for close combat and should be used there, for everything else there are assault rifles and light machine guns.

In terms of rate of fire and damage from a distance, the MP7 is on par with the Type 25, but the Type 25’s better accuracy and lower recoil make it stronger in single combat. With 10 more bullets in the magazine and a faster reload animation, the MP7 also has advantages on its side. It also makes you sight in faster, take them out and put them away faster, run faster with it, and have more accuracy from the hip.

Another weapon with extremely similar stats to the MP7 is the Vector K10, which does the same total damage. On paper, however, the MP7 is superior to this gun in almost all aspects, for example, the faster reload animation and the larger magazine. However, the MP7 has higher recoil, which makes the Vector K10 a bit better from a distance.

Info

General

  • In both Mobilized and Defiance, the player seems to hold the grip of the weapon very loosely.

Defiance

  • The HUD icon of the MP7 looks more like the version from Modern Warfare 3, but the actual weapon in the game is more like the version from Mobilized.

Modern Warfare 3

  • The MP7 is one of the few weapons you can use in Special Forces mode, but not in the campaign. The others are the AS50, the Barrett .50cal, the Stinger, the Starstreak and the Mission Shield.
  • The icon when you kill someone with the MP7 looks compressed because there is a bug in the game files.
  • Statistics that came out before the sale said that the MP7 is weaker than the other submachine guns. In the real game, however, it is at least as good and at a distance even slightly better than the other weapons in its category.
  • When reloading, you can see that the magazine is completely locked. This is also true for L118A and the M16A4.
  • On the left side of the weapon there is something that looks like a flashlight and it was only attached with a piece of tape. However, it has no effect on the behavior in the game and serves purely external purposes.

Black Ops II

  • On the back of the MP7 is a small red 25.
  • The reload time has been sped up considerably in contrast to Modern Warfare 3, which is why you can now reload as quickly as you did with dexterity in the predecessor.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
