Campaign

The MAC-11 is one of Mason’s starter on the Rusalka in the Redemption mission, equipped with a magazine extension and red dot sight. Enemies occasionally drop this weapon with said attachments. A MAC-11 Akimbo can be found near the helipad.

Multiplayer

The MAC-11 is unlocked at level 11. It has a controllable recoil and does average damage compared to the other submachine guns. It has the fastest reload time of all the submachine guns. The time to put the gun away is almost equal to that of a pistol, making it the best in its category again.

Like some other submachine guns, the MAC-11 has 20 rounds in the magazine, and thanks to the high rate of fire, you burn through relatively quickly. The three spare magazines only give you 60 more shots, so ammo is a bit scarce. The low magazine capacity can be compensated for by a magazine extension. Scavengers allow you to pick up some ammo every now and then, and nimbleness makes the frequent reloads even faster.

With low recoil, rapid-fire can be a useful extra for the MAC-11. However, the magazines empty even faster when using this attachment.

Combine this with scavenger and nimbleness, and the disadvantages are largely offset. Using a grip and magazine extension with a warlord is a good idea because the player then has 30 rounds in the magazine and the weapon has no recoil at all on the outside.

Although it is rarely seen, but the MAC-11 can also be used Akimbo. This allows the player to get a lot more kills, but pays the price of accuracy, which can be somewhat compensated for with Steady Hand.

The sight is by and large unobtrusive and easy to use, but the weapon only has the 1.2x zoom instead of the 1.3x zoom of most weapons, which is not necessarily a disadvantage, for example in close quarters situations where the MAC-11 works brilliantly.

All in all, the MAC-11’s high rate of fire and quick reload and change times make it an excellent weapon for a class where you run and gun. Nevertheless, most players will skip the weapon because submachine guns like the AK-74u and Spectre are simply better.

Info

  • When you attach a grip to the MAC-11, a grab handle is placed on the end of the weapon. Originally, this grip was supposed to be folded up on the gun without having the corresponding attachment on the gun, but that idea was scrapped. In the Wii version, this grip is folded up. It also appears folded up when you select the weapon Akimbo.
  • As with the other submachine guns, rapid fire has no effect on the Wii.
The pickup icon and in the class editor show the MAC-11 with a collapsed grip and no magazine.
  • When a bot holds the MAC-11, it holds it as if it were holding a larger weapon, causing the hand to hover in the air.
  • The MAC-11 is the only submachine gun that has the red dot and reflex sights, but not the ACOG sights.
  • The MAC-11 is the only primary weapon in Black Ops that you hold with one hand when it is not Akimbo, plus it is one of the few weapons at all, the others being the ASP, ray gun and ballistic knife.
  • The MAC-11 reloads just like the PM9 and the mini-Uzi.
  • When running, the player holds the weapon with both hands.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
