The M27 is an assault rifle from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Campaign
The M27 is relatively common and is directly used by two factions as their favorite assault rifle. In fact, it is the third most used assault rifle in single player. In the Celerium mission, it is recommended as a starter weapon with a millimeter scanner.
Multiplayer
The M27 is the fifth assault rifle and is unlocked at level 31. The weapon is accurate, but delivers quite little damage per shot. At medium range you need four hits or three if one was a headshot, as a ranged shooter you even need to hit five times or land four headshots. At 750 RPM, the rate of fire is average, as is the reload time at 1.95 seconds and the magazine capacity of 30 rounds. This makes the weapon very tolerant at certain distances, as the rate of fire and quick time to reload allow the player to miss some shots without major consequences. At long range, volley or single shot weapons like the SWAT-556 or the FAL OSW are simply better. In close combat, against fast weapons like the Type 25, the low damage will be your undoing.
Probably the biggest advantage is the almost non-existent recoil, similar to the Scorpion from Call of Duty: Black Ops. Even at long ranges, the weapon stays mostly on target, and that’s why it’s recommended on large maps, where other assault rifles would have already gone off-target. With a silencer, you can easily take out players with a sniper rifle or light machine gun monitoring a position before they even notice the threat.
The relatively clear sight replaces a sight attachment, but even so, the reflex sight can help eliminate a more distant target. The homing device also proves useful when playing on large maps like Carrier or Turbine. Alternatively, you can try a silencer or a laser marker to surprise enemies and always have an advantage when you unexpectedly encounter an enemy.
Overall, the M27 is a good weapon with average stats and low recoil that has its strengths at any distance. This makes the weapon an insider’s tip for beginners who are not yet good with recoil or want to play it safe, however, in most cases the weapon will be outclassed by another. This will make more experienced players who know how to compensate for disadvantages more likely to reach for another weapon.
The January 26, 2013 patch reduced the spread on all assault rifles. This means that you can now even kill at 1600 inches instead of just 1500 with four shots. The doubled damage from headshots has also been increased, so you need fewer shots to the head to kill an enemy.
Survival Combat
In Survival Combat, the M27 is only available on Nuketown Zombies, where you can purchase it for 950 points at the mystery crate, similar to the LSAT. It is a good rifle even without punching it, with plenty of spare ammo, low recoil, but lower damage compared to other assault rifles. As a result, you should think about buying double-fire malt beer, because the damage is increased and the recoil is only slightly affected.
Info
- The M27 has a unique front handle. It is made of rubber, is longer and has an unusable flashlight attached.
- When you replace an empty magazine, you can see the word “odFISH” and the image of an octopus on the grip.
- The M27 is Salazar’s favorite weapon.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
