The M1216 is a shotgun from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and it was first seen in the trailer for the multiplayer, where it was used by one player. The gun fires a fully automatic volley of up to four shots, after which the player spins the cylinder to deliver the next four shots. It has a high rate of fire and therefore kills enemies quite quickly.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Campaign
The M1216 is used as a secondary weapon by Section in the Odysseus mission, and the mercenaries and Navy SEALs also sometimes use the weapon.
Multiplayer
The M1216 is the last shotgun you unlock in multiplayer, more specifically at level 52. It is the only fully automatic shotgun in the game, but it also distributes the least damage. The rate of fire is similar to that of the S12, but with the M1216 it doesn’t take long to reach it. With 16 bullets before you have to reload, the gun also has the largest magazine in its category.
Being a low-damage, short-range, fully automatic shotgun, attachments can dramatically change the performance of the M1216. The long barrel can prevent damage from dropping off at range, so you can take people out more often with just one hit. A laser marker and magazine extension or fast magazine can help with assault, as you can quickly infiltrate a room just by firing from the hip. While the M1216’s rear sight is fairly open and uncluttered, the millimeter scanner can help spot enemies before you even enter a room.
Survival Combat
You can pull the M1216 for 950 points at the mystery box. If you punch it, the new name is “Mesmerizer”. The magazine capacity is increased to 24 bullets and the volley shots become six shots from four. After punching, the weapon is capable of killing zombies up to round 30 with one shot if you get close enough. You can definitely save this weapon as an emergency solution if you get boxed in because it does a lot of damage, has a high rate of fire, and doesn’t spread radius damage like the ray gun, for example.
Info
- Under the sights it says “Guster Arms inc. 8-JB-040283-12.”
- This is the fourth fully automatic shotgun in the Call of Duty series, the first three being the AA-12, the punched SPAS-12 and the USAS-12.
- Because of the way the magazines look, players simply drop the magazine on the ground when reloading with a fast magazine instead of removing it by hand first. The same phenomenon also affects the PDW-57.
- The M1216 is only the second weapon to have a cylinder magazine, the first being the PP90M1.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
