Weapons Call of Duty-G11

The G11 is a three-shot salvo assault rifle from .

: Black Ops

Campaign

The G11 appears in the campaign only in one mission, namely numbers, when it is used by Dr. Clarke. While the player must fire the G11 in bursts, Clarke’s is somehow fully automatic. In Hong Kong, several G11s can be found in weapon stashes, with or without low-energy scopes.

Multiplayer

The G11 has 48 bullets in the magazine and fires in fairly rapid three-shot bursts (1250 rounds per minute, a 0.2 second delay between each burst). When firing from the hip, it is even more accurate than a submachine gun, even though it is an assault rifle, and it uses the same sights as the Famas and the AUG. The G11 is a “secret weapon” and thus is unlocked once you buy every other assault rifle in the game.

The G11’s reloading animation is quite different from the other assault rifles in the game, because it reloads from the front with hull-less ammo. Anyway, this gun doesn’t work like a typical lead slingshot. When you pick it up or reload it, you turn a cog on the side while you unlock the other .

The G11 is most comparable to the M16, but its damage drops off sooner, it has the hip-fire accuracy of a submachine gun, a larger magazine, fewer available attachments, a bit less damage, and a higher rate of fire. In normal game modes, both weapons kill at the same rate, but you only have to hit the head twice with the M16, and a whole three times with the G11. Otherwise, you’re better off with the G11, because if you don’t kill immediately, you can follow up with a second volley more quickly. In hardcore game modes, the G11 takes two hits to kill from a certain distance, while the M16 only ever takes one. The recoil makes a huge difference. On the G11, it rotates clockwise; on the M16, it jumps upward. That, coupled with the higher rate of fire, makes the G11 much better, at least in close combat.

The G11 has a significantly higher ammunition capacity in contrast to the other assault rifles (48 bullets in the magazine, 2nd place goes to the Galil with 35), and its total ammunition is also near the top. The MPL with double magazine reaches the same value, the Galil with double magazine and the M60 with magazine extension even overtake this statistic. With the Variable Zoom, the G11 is useful even from extreme distances.

Since there are only two attachments for the G11 and both are sights, Warlord is a wasted extra. Nimbleness Pro is a great support because firstly, the reload time, which is quite long after all, is cut in half, especially when the magazine is completely empty, secondly, you go into the sights faster, an action that also takes a bit longer with the bulky G11. Scout with the Variable Zoom turns the weapon into a sniper rifle with volley technique in a flash. With Steeled Pro, you don’t recoil as much when you get shot, which is always helpful with salvo shot weapons anyway.

Most interesting is the fact that the effect of Nimble Pro also applies when you use a scope, because the G11 doesn’t count as a sniper rifle. Since the hip-fire accuracy is gigantic anyway, you can add to it with Steady Hand and make your gun a real killer in close combat, but most players see this as unfair. The large magazine allows you to shoot for a long time without reloading, an ability that most assault rifles and submachine guns lack.

All in all, the G11 is still a bit better than the M16 and the choice should be clear if you prefer close combat. The lack of attachments also sometimes causes problems that would not exist for the M16. For example, the strategically sometimes useful underbarrel attachments such as the masterkey and flamethrower are missing, and there is also no scope whose sweep would not interfere at a distance. The biggest drawback of this weapon, and all volley weapons, is the volatility of the volley fire. If one is under fire, one pulls up, making a weapon like the G11 capable of missing every shot. If there’s a player with a fully automatic weapon on the other side, you don’t stand a chance. The only thing you can do is point out Gestählt Pro one last time, whose effect prevents just such a situation.

Survival Combat

The G11 is available on every map except Dead Ops Arcade for 950 points at the mystery crate. It is only available with its low-energy scope and shoots accurate three-shot bursts. It is useful for headshots because it really doesn’t warp. In later rounds, however, it becomes problematic because it doesn’t do much damage against bodies and you are vulnerable between volleys. However, it is still useful for scoring points.

Punched, the new name is G115 Generator, a reference to Element 115. It is fully automatic, the scope no longer has momentum, it does more damage, and the reload animation has been shortened. Even when firing at 1250 RPM, it retains its low recoil, making it a real wonder especially in close combat. Double fire malt beer should be avoided because it tends to leave you without ammo rather quickly, but Speed Cola is a good choice because the reload animation is slow no matter how.
