EA Sports brings even more legends back on the pitch with FUT Heroes. We show you which players should come as FIFA 23 Ultimate Team Heroes!
The hard thing about FUT Heroes is that we can’t just name any names here. Arjen Robben, for example, has just retired, but he should definitely get an icon in the next FIFA! We doubt it will happen as quickly as it did with Wayne Rooney, but we certainly don’t see Robben as a hero.
Ultimate Team Heroes should be players who didn’t make it to Ultimate Legend. They are players who are iconic in their club or league…. Or are simply associated with a particular event. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (CL final 1999) and Diego Milito (CL final 2010) are the best examples. So here is an overview of all FIFA 22 FUT Heroes!
These could be the new FUT Heroes in FIFA 23
As you can see, the selection is a difficult degree. The difference between Icons and Heroes is very small. And you don’t want to step on anyone’s toes. Nevertheless, we dare to be so deeply immersed in the soccer world that we can give you some sick names here. Most of them are players you haven’t thought of in a long time.
But when you watch scenes of them, they come back to the top of your own rankings. The list could actually be 10 pages long and people would still be upset about it, or tell us who we forgot and why. That’s why the selection is a bit emotional…. But hey, we’re talking about soccer.
Before we start with our predictions, here is an overview of the current FUT Heroes in FIFA 22:

Great selection, isn’t it? Then the predictions will surely make you happy too. Here’s a list of the players who are expected to become the new FUT heroes in FIFA Ultimate!
1. Giovanni Elber
Between 1997 and 2003, the Brazilian scored for FC Bayern and achieved just about everything with the record champions. 4-time German champion, 3-time DFB Cup winner and the Champions League victory in 2001 against Valencia FC. With 139 goals and 57 assists in 266 games, Giovane Elber played a significant role in Bayern’s dominance around the turn of the millennium.
Giovane Elber has a good chance of becoming a FUT hero. After all, the striker from Sugarloaf represents a period that laid the foundation for Bayern’s current success. Elber is simply a cult figure at Bayern. But will he be able to keep up with Antonio di Natale?
2 Dimitar Berbatov
Probably the only Bulgarian footballer who was really actively pursued. Dimitar Berbatov’s time at Manchester United was just sick. What people tend to forget… At Bayer Leverkusen, the striker was even better. There he had his regular place and could make the difference. Unfortunately, at Old Trafford he was often overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo or Wayne Rooney.
The Bulgarian ended his career in April 2018. It’s high time for him to make his virtual comeback. Berbatov would be a perfect FUT hero in Ultimate Team! If you look at his dribblings from the past, you could get 5-star skills out of it….
3. Andrey Arshavin
Andrey Arshavin probably had one of the best periods in the last 15 years. The Russian was one of our absolute favorite players during his time at Arsenal and his four goals against Liverpool in 2009 will not be forgotten. Fun fact: The kid scored four goals in a game, but his team still only draws. Typical Arsenal.
Unfortunately, he only managed to impress in the Premier League for three years, but he quickly returned to the Russian Premier League. It probably won’t be enough for an icon, but hey… that’s what heroes are for. And in this video, you can watch his hero moment again at your leisure:
4th Yaya Toure
African champion, Champions League, Premier League – Yaya Touré has cleaned up everything in world soccer. His move from Barcelona to Manchester City actually marked the beginning of the Cityzens’ dominance of the Premier League. Few players have been as important to City as Touré in midfield. Between 2011 and 2014, he was voted Africa’s Footballer of the Year four times in a row. A true legend, in other words.
But in midfield, there is currently a clearly defined meta … Can the Ivorian keep up?
5 Ji Sung Park
When it comes to dominance in Manchester, of course, the Red Devils can’t be left out. We already had Dimitar Berbatov, and Ji-Sung Park is the next Manchester legend on our list. The South Korean was not only part of the best United ever, but also helped his heart club to the greatest successes in the club’s history.
Park was able to celebrate 11 titles in his 7 years under Sir Alex Ferguson – an absolute man of honor.
6 Ivica Olic
His goals against Manchester United in the 2010 Champions League…I still have goosebumps. Ivica Olic threw himself into every duel and never gave up – actually what you want from a player at your own club. The Croatian stands for the surprising achievement of reaching the CL final in the 2009/10 – Season , but what would a hero be without his moment. Here you can dive into beautiful memories:
7.Luca Toni
317 goals in 699 games – Luca Toni knew where the goal was. The 2006 World Cup winner probably had his heyday between 2005 and 2007 at Fiorentina, where he even became Serie A’s top scorer with 31 goals. His move to Bayern was not quite as successful, but has also created a cult following here – everyone knows how he celebrates. Interestingly, he was also the top scorer in Serie A in the 2014/15 – Season , with the Italian scoring 22 goals at Hellas Verona.
Luca Toni would certainly fit perfectly in a possible Serie A side.
8. carlos tevez
Carlito hasn’t ended his career yet, but the Argentine wonder striker has been without a club since July. Like Berbatov and Ji-Sung Park, Tevez has played against the best of his time at Manchester United. Even though his time under Sir Alex Ferguson was marked by many titles, he had his best time at his city rivals. 108 scorer points in 148 games for the Cityzens – you can do that.
Soccer knows that South Americans have a certain temperament. But Tevez is already back to the next level. In 600 games, the striker has collected 84 yellow cards and 3 sending offs… most of them during his time at Boca Juniors. The loss to River Plate in the 2019 Copa Libertadores still runs deep.
9.David Villa
When it comes to David Villa, we think of exactly two goals. Once of his powerful shot into the corner in the 2011 CL final against Manchester United. The other time to the 2-1 win over Paraguay in the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup. David Villa was the perfect combination of genius and madness. The Spaniard has played in arguably the two best teams in the last twenty years, winning every title in world soccer with Barca and Spain.
Of course, David Villa is also one of the contenders for a possible icon…. But before he becomes a boring 90s Prime icon, we want to see him as an OP hero in FIFA 23! And if you don’t know why the boy should be operated… then you should watch this hot goal again. Perfect!
10. Nicklas Bendtner
What else can you say about this guy? Absolute legend, soccer god – simply Lord Bendtner. Who needs a title when you can be one of the best of your time without one? Bendtner is the definition of cult and should therefore become a FUT hero. With a bad rating, please!
