The well-known leaker Tom Henderson has a first glimpse of the map of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 ready for the players:inside. In cooperation with Try Hard Guides, the first sketch of the map was created.

Last weekend a Warzone fan published a colored version of the new Warzone 2 map and now shows the map with all its locations in color for the first time. Besides railroad tracks the map also contains quite a lot of water, but this will not limit us spatially in Warzone 2 in the future, because we will be able to swim.
At least five locations from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) will make a comeback on the new map. The entire map is supposed to be based on South America in its design. The Mountain Town POI, for example, will be modeled after the typical corrugated iron settlements (favelas) in many South American cities.
- Highrise will appear as “Modern City” on the Warzone 2 map and shall remind of Downtown from Verdansk.
- Quarry will keep its name.
- Terminal, will appear as POI “Airport” in Warzone 2 and hosts one of three large strongholds where we can fight for our loadout.
- Afghan will be renamed “Caves” and is said to be located in the middle of the Battle Royale map.
- Mountain Town will be based on Favela from Modern Warfare 2 (2009).

It was only on Tuesday that the release date of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was officially announced, which also caused quite a few more rumors surrounding the game to surface. However, the rumor mill around the successor to Warzone also seems to be bubbling. Tom Henderson apparently got his hands on the complete map of the new Battle Royale.

There is a harbor, shipwreck, fortress and an airport. There is also a cemetery and a fishing village nearby. Also two rivers are supposed to run through the complete map of Warzone 2.
According to Tom Henderson, he didn’t draw all the roads on the map to keep the map clearer. The insider wanted to focus only on the main features. The gray areas are densely built-up areas and the dark brown places are elevations. There is also supposed to be a rail system on the Warzone 2 map, which was drawn in as a black line in the leak.
