When does Vanguard & Warzone – Season 1 start?

Vanguard and Warzone – Season 1 launches on Wednesday, December 8. At least for owners of Call of Duty: Vanguard – players who only play Warzone will have to wait until December 9. Originally, – Season 1 was supposed to start a week earlier, on December 2 or 3, but the launch was postponed by a week.

What’s new in Vanguard Warzone – Season 1?

We get a concise overview of all the new content and changes in the official roadmap.

CoD: Vanguard – Season 1

Vanguard – Season 1 launches on December 8 and brings the following new content for multiplayer and Zombies mode:

• 3 new multiplayer maps
• 3 new operators
• new covenants, missions and more for zombies
• 2 new weapons
• new Battle Pass

A total of three new maps for the multiplayer will be released in – Season 1. It is not yet clear which maps these are and whether they will all be available directly on December 8. The same applies to the three new operators. They will come and we can unlock a lot of cosmetics for them again. However, we could imagine that at least one of them will be part of the new Battle Pass. The two new weapons will be unlocked via the Battle Pass, as always, and will probably be found at levels 15 and 31.

Exactly what we’ll be getting for the Zombies mode isn’t entirely clear yet, but we’re hoping for a lot. So far, the Vanguard Zombies mode is still pretty weak on the chest. With an Easter Egg and a few new missions, something would be done, but we wish for much more.

CoD: Warzone – Season 1

Things are about to get really interesting in Warzone. Like last year’s Black Ops Cold War, this time Vanguard will be integrated into Warzone and even brings a completely new map. Here are the new Warzoen contents:

• new Pacific Map Caldera
• Integration of all Vanguard weapons
• new driving and for the first time also aircrafts
• new graphic
• new Battle Pass

After 1.5 years, the dusty warzone map Verdansk is finally replaced by a completely new map. The map Caldera takes us to a Pacific island in the Second World War – fitting to the story of Vanguard. There are beautiful beaches, jungles, mountains and nice little villages, but also bigger cities. We are especially excited about the announced dogfights. Yes, that’s right, we’ll soon be able to fight dogfights in Warzone – hopefully the planes are easier to control than in Battlefield…

With the integration of all Vanguard weapons in Warzone, the meta will of course change again. And of course, we’ll also get the two all-new weapons that will become available with the – Season 1 Battle Pass. How exactly the developers want to balance the now over 100 weapons in Warzone is still a mystery to us, but we don’t have to wait much longer for the answer.

Before we forget, the Battle Pass for – Season 1 works across all games and can be leveled in Vanguard as well as in Warzone. So if you want to grind a few levels quickly, or play up the good weapons, it’s best to do it in Vanguard multiplayer.

Vanguard & Warzone – Season 1 Anti-Cheat

With the start of – Season 1, the long awaited Ricochet Anti-Cheat is finally launched. After Warzone has been struggling with a serious cheater problem for months, this could be the solution. The Anti-Cheat works with server-side analysis tools and is still supported by a kernel driver. This makes it possible to detect cheat software directly on the PC, making it easier to track down cheaters. They not only have to reckon with bans for a certain time, but can also receive IP or even hardware bans.

That’s all the new additions to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone that we know about so far. When the new Pacific map Caldera launches on December 8, we will of course provide more news.
