Valorant’s next agent: Jett

The hype is real. is just around the corner and we are getting more and more information about all the agents, the game and Economy. Now there is finally a new confirmed hero: Jett.

As we know by now, each agent in Valorant has different abilities – Jett is no exception. Like Sova, she has a total of four of them, including an Ulti and a Signature ability. They work as follows:

  • Cloudburst – Jett releases a cloud of mist that disrupts the enemy’s vision upon impact. When the ability button is held down, Jett can bend the trajectory.
  • Updraft – After a brief pause, Jett catapults himself into the air.
  • Signature Ability: Tailwind – Instant dash in the direction of movement.
  • Ulti: Blade Storm – Surrounds Jett with multiple throwing knives. These knives don’t do much damage, but headshots kill instantly. Kills with the knives instantly restore all daggers. Left-clicking throws only one dagger, while right-clicking consumes all remaining daggers in a single throw.

How to play Jett.

The above abilities hint that Jett will be a very mobile character. Those who like to play might most likely compare her to Tracer. Both heroes are very nimble and deadly.

As a Jett player, you should take advantage of this, but not to stay with your team. Rather, the main goal is to flank your opponents, secure Higher Ground, or simply create chaos in the enemy’s back.

Both Updraft and Tailwind allow you to start or escape fights with ease. These two abilities should always be used to their full potential, as they give the player an incredible advantage.

Jett’s Cloudburst is most comparable to a smoke grenade from CS:GO. It allows you to cover their retreat or briefly blocks the opponent’s view. Presumably, this will be more of a defensive ability – but who knows what the pros will do with it.

Here it is: Jett, including complete concept art.

Last but not least, Blade Storm is an excellent ability to take out single enemies. As mentioned before, knife kills replenish Jeet’s daggers. So if you have a good aim, you can take out an entire team with an Ulti. For those who like to clutch, Jett’s ultimate ability is just the thing.

All in all, we can consider Jett an assassin who will make her opponents’ game hell. However, to get the most out of this agent, you should know the cards in the game inside out to take advantage of her movement abilities. What a luck that there is already the first card from Valorant. So memorize it well!
