Valorant: Top 3 Agents for Beginners

You want to try , but you have no idea which agent to choose? Don’t worry, because today we’re going to introduce you to the 3 best agents for in Valorant!

Riot’s tactical shooter Valorant has done well in the last 10 months despite the global pandemic. The game already has an established Esports scene with many organizations and professional players – there are even first tournaments exclusively for female teams. Besides the pros, however, there are also a lot of casual players like you and me. So today we’re going to take a look at some of the best agents you can play as a beginner in Valorant.

The 3 best agents in Valorant for beginners

As a newcomer to Valorant, you need an agent that is easy to use, yet efficient. Luckily, there are a few that fit that description. Here we’ll show you the three best of them:

Sage is one of the easiest agents in Valorant.

Sage

Sage is an agent that is perfect for beginners. She has no Smokes, Flashes, or Molotovs. Yes, technically her Slow Orb is a Molly, but her main gimmick is the Ice Wall. It is the only ability in her kit that requires some practice in placement and a good knowledge of the positions on the different maps. Otherwise, Sage focuses on healing, slowing down and reviving allies. The rest is gunplay, which is always nice to hear when you’ve relied mostly on your Aim in other shooters.

Phoenix is Valorant’s bread and butter.

Phoenix

Phoenix is probably the most balanced agent, a perfect agent for beginners, that is! He’s one of the initial five agents you have direct access to, and offers something for everyone. Unlike other duelists, he has access to a Flash and a Molly – so all that’s missing is a Smoke. Instead of the Smoke, he has a Firewall…. Not bad either. His Ulti brings him back after death, so go ahead, fire up the Ulti and YOLO-Rush on B. As if that wasn’t awesome enough, he can heal himself with fire – both his Fire Wall and the Molotov.

Raze blasts everything!

Raze

The most obvious choice to destroy everyone is Raze. This agent was an absolute monster during the closed beta of Valorant. Due to her high win rate and criticism from the community, toned her down and gave her some nerfs. Did it get worse because of that? No, not really. Rase’s arsenal is still the deadliest and completely contradicts one of Riot’s earliest statements.

You don’t kill with skills? Really Riot? Raze can kill enemies with a full three of her four abilities. Yeah right, let that sink in. Her grenade and Ulti can take out an entire team under the right circumstances, which is why she’s incredibly fun to play. The only bad news is that Raze isn’t available from the start, so please unlock her first and don’t waste your time on Viper or anything!
