In February 2022 began the Valorant Champions Tour 2022 and with Valorant Champions 2022 – the name takes some getting used to – the series of competitions will come to an end from August 31 to September 18, 2022. For the qualified teams, nothing less is at stake than the right to officially call themselves world champions in Valorant.
Not to be forgotten is also the prize pool, which is expected to be hefty, but has not yet been finalized, because: Players can currently increase it via a collection of skins available in the game.
For many of the teams involved, it will also probably be the last chance in their history to claw their way to the World Cup title. From the coming – Season , Riot Games will be converting the scene of its shooter to the franchise model already familiar from “League of Legends” – so anyone who wants to play at the top doesn’t necessarily need the greatest skills, but first and foremost has to hand over cash in order to be allowed to take part at all. The event thus ends the first era of “Valorant” as an eSport.
The setting for this showdown is the Turkish capital Istanbul, where the final round of the tournament will be held at the Volkswagen Arena. The overview shows you what else you need to know about Valorant Champions 2022.
