• Hold for sale: Fortnite now has a “Hold to Buy” feature for all in-game purchases. The “Undo Purchase” and “Return Ticket” features that have been around for a few years are still supported.

• Extension of the time window for returns of purchases You can now undo in-game cosmetic item purchases made with V-Bucks until you either equip them in-game or 24 hours have passed (whichever comes first). You will also receive a reminder of this possibility before you equip a cosmetic item within this time window.

• Saving payment information: When you enter a new payment method, we will now ask you if you want to save your payment method, to which you can answer yes or no. This replaces the checkbox that was previously on the page.
• Updated policy for chargebacks: We have made changes to our policy regarding chargebacks to better handle situations where a chargeback is made without intent to defraud. A chargeback happens when an unauthorized transaction is reported to a bank, which then reverses the transaction.

Friend settings, player messaging, and enforcement options have been updated

• Additional privacy settings for chat: You now have the options of “Everyone”, “Friends and Teammates”, “Friends Only”, or “No One” when voice chatting. Parents can also limit which of these settings are available to players when setting up parental controls.

• Child lockIn-game parental controls are now higher up in the main lobby menu. We also recently introduced a setting that allows parents to specify that a parental control PIN must be entered before their child can send or accept friend requests.

• Default settings for players under 18: For players who have indicated they are under 18 years old, some settings will be reset to the highest privacy level. Chat will be reset to “Nobody” by default, player profiles will be hidden by default, groups will be set to “Invitation Only”, and personalized recommendations will be disabled. Players under the age of 16 will also now have the offensive language filter turned on by default.When your default settings are changed, you will be notified and given the option to change your account settings unless otherwise restricted by parental controls.

• New ways to address bad gambling behavior.: Communicative features (e.g. chat, adding friends) can now be restricted to address bad gameplay behavior.
