A glitch lets you screw the coolest skins onto all weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. Among them even the Dark Aether skin from CoD: Cold War. You can find out how to trigger the glitch here on MeinMMO.
In Call of Duty: Warzone, weapon skins are as much a part of any shooter as clumsy maneuvers. Players have now found a glitch that allows you to move the best skins of the 3 CoD games that Warzone combines back and forth between each other.
Damascus from CoD MW 2019 on the FARA of Cold War? No problem. Dark Aether from Cold War on the meta weapon StG44 from Vanguard? Why not? Here’s how it looks:
Mastery camos serve as rewards in CoD and allow for custom weapon designs. The only problem is that the skins can usually only be unlocked for certain weapons and within a game.
Dark Ather is one of the most popular camos from CoD Cold War and normally can’t be transferred to the weapons in Modern Warfare and Vanguard. The exception: you use the following glitch to your advantage.

How does the glitch work? The procedure is quite simple. The only thing you need is another person who also plays Warzone and you both need the game CoD MW 2019.
- Launch Warzone while the other person is in a multiplayer lobby of CoD MW2019.
- Select the weapon (1) on which you want to have the camo
- Creates your own blueprint for the weapon (1)
- Goes to the weapon selection and into the screen where you can select the saved build plan – but do not select the weapon build plan (1)
- From here the other person invites you into their multiplayer lobby
- Now select the blueprint
- Leave the lobby and go back in at Warzone
- Go to the class with the weapon (1) and now pick out the weapon (2) that has the camo you want to transfer
- With the new weapon (2) go to the camos and preview the camo you want – don’t select the camo, just preview it
- In the preview person 2 invites you back to the lobby of CoD MW 2019
- Press “Back” in the preview and you will be back at the weapon (1) you selected from it in multiplayer
- The camos of weapon (2) can now be transferred to weapon (1)
- Saves the build plan of weapon (1) afterwards
Important! So far there has been no developer statement on whether players can be banned for using the glitch.
However, there is definitely a certain risk of being reported by other players because they may not know the glitch. This can then lead to a shadowban.
Does the glitch also work in Modern Warfare? Yes, you can also use the glitch with Modern Warfare weapons, which then use the skins in multiplayer.
In general, though, if you want to glitch the Dark Aether skin in Warzone, you should be quick. It is always possible that the developers will add patches in future updates, so the trick won’t work anymore.
Glitches can be incredibly annoying in games sometimes. With this glitch, however, players are happy that they can equip Dark Aether in more than just Cold War. Many wish they could apply all skins to all weapons.
