It may have fallen a little behind in the heat of the coverage, but of course Ubisoft also delivered a presentation at the Tokyo Games Show, in which they presented their upcoming highlights for you. What exactly they presented, you can read in the following text.
- The first game is the turn-based strategy shooter Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope, with which the cooperative project between Ubisoft and Nintendo enters the second round. If you like turn-based games with an at least slightly crazy sense of humor, you should check out the October 20 in the calendar. In addition, Ubisoft’s mascot Rayman was introduced as a playable character, which will probably be available with the third DLC.
- Skull and Bones makes you captain of a pirate ship that you can customize and upgrade more and more to become the most legendary of all the terrors of the seas. During the Ubisoft was presented “The Rudder”, a game’s own trade network that will let you increase your fame and climb in game ranks. Also shown were various ships that you can build and command, as well as countless ways to customize them and adapt them to your play style. Skull and Bones will be released on November 8 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Stadia and Amazon Luna.
- The division series gets with The Division Heartland and The Division Resurgence two new games at once. Heartland will be set in a small American town, will be available for free and will put its focus at least partially on fighting other players, while the storyline will naturally fit the canon of the previous parts. Resurgence will be released as a mobile game for cell phones and tablets and will clearly focus on PvP. Unfortunately, there is no release date for Resurgence yet. For Heartland, at least the time window 2022/2023 indicated.
- Rainbow Six Mobile is, who would have guessed it from the name, also being developed for mobile platforms and is currently entering beta. Upon its release, the game will feature 5vs5 combat, crossplay, and voice chat for Android and iOS devices. When that will be, however, is still up in the air.
- In another collaboration, Ubisoft will be launching on the platform of Netflix will release three exclusive mobile games that Netflix subscribers can download and play for free upon release. The games are a Successor to Valiant Hearts, a new Mighty Quest for Epic Loot in the Rogueelite style and a stand-alone Assassin’s Creed-Game. The games are to be free of additional costs or advertising throughout.
- Trackmania is from Beginning 2023 back in the race on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Stadia and Amazon Luna, offering more than 280,000 game-created tracks full of turns and obstacles where you can compete with more than 10 million other players. Originally released for PC, Trackmania offers crossplay and crossplay progression in the console and cloud gaming versions.
- After a brief recap highlighting the highlights of the series, it was finally time for the most important title of the current presentation: Assassin’s Creed Mirage is presented in a nice trailer and is supposed to take us once again to the Middle East, more precisely to the Baghdad of the ninth century. There we will take on the role of the young thief Basim Ibn Ishaq, who in the course of the plot develops into the assassin already mentioned in Assassins Creed: Valhalla. The title will probably be a bit shorter compared to the predecessors and is meant as a homage to the very first part, which also took place in the region. Ubisoft is also holding back with an exact date and only gives the year of release. 2023 an.
- It gets a little more specific at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will receive a final DLC in a few months that will continue the storyline around Eivor to an end, before it goes quite a bit into the future in another preview. Ubisoft has three more titles in the works for the series besides the aforementioned “Assassins Creed” parts: Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will be another mobile game and set in China 215 years before our era. Unlike other parts that were released for mobile platforms and then mostly used 2D graphics, Jade is supposed to be a full-fledged open-world game where you can freely create your character for the first time. About Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is unfortunately still very little known. However, a very short teaser shows us a ninja, so the assumption is that the part will be set in Japan sometime between the 17th and 19th century. It is also known that it is an upcoming “flagship title” and will accordingly be released on the current consoles and computers by then. And to make things a bit wilder, Ubisoft announces with another short teaser still Assassin’s Creed Codename Witch which is perhaps (we’re just guessing here!) set in 16th century Europe at the time of the witch hunts. Only time will tell if we’re right about that.
