Asmongold takes the test: do you get banned for simp, incel and virgin?

What do the words even mean?

• Simp: In short, a simp is a man who would do anything for a streamer and gives her massive amounts of attention. This happens through messages, donations or other support. You can find exact details in our article about it: Twitch deletes emotes for “Simp” – What is a Simp anyway?
• Incel: Incels refers to a culture of heterosexual men who involuntarily do not have sex, but feel that they are actually entitled to sex. The word originated from the words “involuntary” and “celibate” (single / bachelor).
• Virgin: This is the English word for virgin. However, it is often used to accuse people of “not getting a partner”.

Why are they banned on Twitch? Mostly, the words were used on Twitch to denounce and insult certain user groups. At some point, this became too much for the platform and decided to take consequences in the form of a block as soon as chatters or streamers mouthed the words.

What did the streamer do? Asmongold expressed that he did not notice anything about the ban on these words and expressed surprise. At the same time, he challenged Twitch:

I think that people who are upset about hot tub streams are virgins. I think people who have Level 3 subscriptions with them are simps. And I think people who comment and get upset about what I just said about hot tub streams are Incels.

He’s testing this out to see if this rule really exists. Asmongold says that if he doesn’t get banned, this policy doesn’t exist. He can’t believe that you can’t use the words anymore.

Has Asmongold been banned then? As of this writing, the streamer is still able to go live and has not been banned by Twitch. So it remains to be seen if there will be any consequences.
