On Saturday, July 2, the well-known YouTuber and Twitch streamer Trymacs hosted a soccer event. He himself put together a team and played against Knossi and his team. The match was a huge success, both in terms of numbers and general entertainment value.
What kind of event was that? After Trymacs’ big boxing event, there was a new sports event on Saturday. The two Twitch streamers Trymacs and Knossi each put together a soccer team and then competed against each other in a match.
The teams included other streamers and YouTubers, celebrities such as Steven Gätjen or footballers from the district league.
The game became a huge spectacle, partly because the streamers had come up with some special rules:
- Three halves of 30 minutes each were played. This gave the streamers a bit more of a break within the match.
- During the breaks, there were various challenges. So for a short time about 3 celebs played against 50 kids, with the celebs being ripped off mercilessly.
- Despite a clear victory, there was a penalty shootout at the end – just for fun.
The regular match was won by Knossi and his team, the penalty shootout in turn went to Trymacs. Both already promised a rematch to be held in the winter.
Who took part in the event? Besides the streamers Trymacs and Knossi, other well-known personalities from Twitch and YouTube were also present, including EilasN97 – currently the biggest German streamer, MontanaBlack, Aaron Troschke, Inscope21 or UnsympathischTV.
There were also a few celebrities, including Steven Gätjen, Pietro Lombardi, Gustav Schäfer (the drummer from Tokio Hotel) and Olivia Jones.

Six goals and three injured players
How did the match go? The ball was kicked off at 17:04. The match was commented by Robby Hunke, who also works for Sportschau.
For long stretches, the match was carried mainly by the district league players. They were clearly fitter and technically stronger than the YouTubers, streamers and celebrities.
However, Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris stood out positively in the Trymacs goal. He had some good saves to show, so that he was also called Marcel Neuer in the Twitch chat. Nevertheless, he could not prevent the defeat of his team.

Although Trymacs’ team took the lead first and secured the lead into the first half break. But in the second half, Knossi’s team equalized and took the lead. In the end, Knossi and his team won 4:2.
During the game, however, there were also unpleasant scenes:
- Filip Pavlović was injured in the first half. He tore a muscle in his thigh.
- Then in the second half it caught Steven Gätjen. He injured his ankle, but nothing is broken.
- Then in half time three Paul from Team Trymacs got injured. He suffered an injury to his shoulder.
What were the challenges? During the first half-time break, there was a crossbar shootout. A spectator won together with Pietro Lombardi and got a jersey signed by Luka Modrić.
In the second half-time break, Knossi, Dave and Fritz Meinecke played against 50 kids. The kids won clearly with 7:0.
At the end of the match there was also a penalty shootout. This was won by the Trymacs team with 4:1.
Over 140,000 simultaneous spectators
How was the event received? During the soccer match, over 140,000 people watched simultaneously on Trymacs’ Twitch channel in Peak. That makes the event the livestream with the most viewers worldwide on Saturday. It also left behind shoutcasts about the LEC in LoL, Rocket League, and Summer Games Done Quick.
Over the entire four hours, the event averaged over 104,000 viewers (via Sullygnome). That’s also No. 1 on Saturday and – No. 3 in the last 7 days. Knossi also hosted an “aftershow stream” later on with 68,550 viewers in the peak.
In addition, there were hundreds of viewers on site and lots of positive feedback in the comments. So it’s little surprise that the two streamers are already planning a rematch.
For Trymacs, however, the issue of soccer takes on even greater proportions. In the future, his team is to play regularly in the district class B, with mostly the same line-up. He already promised vlogs from training and livestreams from matches.
