Starting today you can play Nokk in Rainbow Six: Siege.
Today, June 11, launches Y4S2 of Rainbow Six: Siege. In Operation Phantom Sight the two new operators Warden and Nokk are added, the map Kafe Dostoyevsky is reworked and there is a whole series of adjustments to the gameplay. Ubisoft expanded the patch notes now shortly before release.
As with every new – Season , owners of the – Season Pass have exclusive access to the new characters for one week. So if you don’t have the pass, you can meet the newcomers in the match, but you can’t unlock and use them yet.
New to Rainbow Six: Siege? With these tips it is easier to get started
Stealth gauge changes Vigil and Caveira
New addition Nokk can make itself invisible to cameras. To balance this, her gadget uses a battery. Operators Vigil and Caveira now get them as well. This means that you can activate and deactivate their abilities at any time, but you have to keep an eye on your battery.
The abilities of the operators can only be used if you have at least 20% charge. If this is not the case, you will have to wait a little while until the battery is recharged has recharged. This makes the use of these stealth gadgets easier and more powerful at the same time: After all, you can use them for short periods of time without having to wait for a long cooldown afterwards.
In the release trailer of Rainbow Six: Siege – Operation Phantom Sight Warden becomes James Bond -.
More changes to the operators
Vigil and Caveira are not the only operators that are changing. In the past, the developer already presented a nerf for Glaz. Now, changes to Frost, Kaid, Pulse and Twitch are being added. Ubisoft already tested these extensively on the public test servers. The final adjustments are now fixed and will be released with Operation Phantom Sight:
- Frost: Welcome Mats have less HP (66 instead of 100)
- Kaid: Barbed wire is replaced by a nitro charge
- Pulse: Can put away his heartbeat sensor faster (0.65s instead of 0.8s)
- Twitch: Recoil of the F2 assault rifle increased
What about the exploits?
Last month Ubisoft removed Clash, deployable shields and claymores from the game because some players found ways to exploit them unintentionally: Clash could shoot through her shield, the erectable shields could be used as helmets, and with claymores IQ became invisible. Ubisoft will release a first fix for these problems with the start of the new – Season . The exploits will be completely solved only in the course of – Season 2. This is what the early fix looks like:
- Clash: When the glitch is activated, Clash is reset to its normal state.
- IQ: When IQ becomes invisible, a failsafe is activated that makes it visible again.
- Raisable shields: When players activate the glitch, they can no longer shoot. After two seconds, the shield is then automatically raised on the ground.

With these customizations, you may clash from the launch of Operation Phantom Sight, use deployable shields and claymores again. This should change the current meta again. Due to removed claymores, there have been a lot of defenders running out to attack the attackers at the beginning of the attack phase lately.
Loadout of the new operators is temporarily changed:
To prevent possible exploits, the loadout of the two new additions will be adjusted until Ubisoft releases the final fix for the exploits.
- Warden: 2 contact grenades instead of erectable shield
- Nokk: 3 stun grenades instead of claymore
In addition to Operation Phantom Sight, there will soon be more to Rainbow Six. At E3 2019, Ubisoft unveiled the next adventure in the Rainbow Six universe. Rainbow Six Quarantine evolved from the Outbreak event of Siege and will be a separate co-op shooter for up to three players. And the well-known operators from Siege will be there as well.
