With the in-client tournament format “Clash”, Riot Games enables League of Legends players to regularly compete against others as a team and pick up special rewards.
The monthly clashes will be held again in 2022. We have all the dates and info for you, so you can get your team ready in time!
How does Clash work?
After you’ve had five days to assemble your team and register for the weekend’s Cup, you’ll be assigned to a bracket of eight teams on Saturday and/or Sunday of the Clash weekend. Don’t forget that everyone from the team still has to confirm their participation in a short window of time (max. two hours) before the tournament starts!
To participate in Clash, each:r player:in must meet the following conditions:
- The account must be at least level 30
- All placement matches for one of the ranked queues for the Summoner’s Rift must be completed
- The “League” account must be verified with a phone number, as this can prevent the use of smurfs
The enemies you will encounter are all assigned to the same skill level as you. This is described with classes, with class I being the highest and class IV being the lowest. The maximum number of matches played per clash day is three. Even if your team already loses the first game, you can still play against the other losers of the bracket for consolation prizes.
To ensure that no team has to wait ages for the next opponent, Clash has a “decision phase”: after 60 minutes the towers become weaker, after 65 minutes buildings continuously lose health points, and after 70 minutes there is a final winner.
After your opponent is known, you can examine the players:inside before the game.
Also, each Clash participation requires at least one ticket to be redeemed by each team member, which can be obtained by completing missions, from team members, or in the store (975 blue essence or 195 RP). In addition to standard tickets, there are also premium tickets available for purchase for 975 RP, which unlock better rewards.

The schedule for Clash 2022
Forty match days for Clash have been released so far for 2022. These dates will be divided into Cups with special themes, so each Cup will consist of two weekends with two match days each. So, in total, there are ten Cups this year in which you can earn trophies and some loot. These are the cups and their dates:

Rewards and victory points system
Surely you have seen various banners attached to your opponent’s lane in your games. This banner was given to your opponent after he received a certain number of victory points (SP) in a Clash Cup. In addition, SPs also unlock themed logos. These victory points scale with both team class and the number of tickets redeemed, and add up over two Clash weekends before expiring.
Since the Clash Cups always have different names and themes, you can tell in which Clash the victories were achieved by the color and characters on the banner and the appearance of the trophies. The more banners collected over the – Season , the higher the level of banner upgrades – this will then affect the appearance of the banner frame. Victory points can also be used to unlock team icons.
Also, each:r clash participant will receive a clash ball or capsule after exiting the bracket. Depending on how well your team did (and which ticket you redeemed), the content will be accordingly better or worse. The content can consist of logos, mystery symbols, boosts, eye skins, mystery stickers, orange essences, standard tickets, and skin shards.
First place will also receive a chibi symbol and a gem when redeeming a premium ticket. In addition, each winner of the Clash Bracket will also receive a trophy, which will be displayed above the Nexus for two weeks. The banners and trophies can still be displayed in the summoner profile after the two weeks.
