This is how the coin mechanic works in FIFA Ultimate Team

Money, money, money, must be funny in the world… As this lightly re-lyriced song by ABBA reveals, the Coins system is a central part of the FIFA Ultimate Team mode. In the following, we will explain how the in-game currency works, how to collect lots of coins quickly and how best to use them.

First the basics. What are FIFA Coins? There are two types of currency in FIFA: Points and Coins. Coins are FIFA’s in-game currency, used to purchase individual player cards on the transfer market or packs in the online store. In short, you need the coins to buy players for your FUT roster.

But how do you get hold of these coveted coins? FIFA 20 is built entirely around coin transactions, so pretty much any action can earn you coins. It is important to note that FIFA Coins cannot be purchased with real money! They can only be earned or earned via the transfer market. And this is how you become a FIFA Coin Master:

game modes

The most promising methods here are three game modes: Squad Battles, Division Rivals and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). High-value rewards can be earned in these modes, including coins, packs, and (in the case of Division Rivals) Champion Points. By the way: If you have enough champions points, you also get access to the Champions Weekend , where you can win additional rewards.

Squad Building Challenges, as the name suggests, are tasks revolving around building a team. The aim here is to put together a team according to certain specifications, which must meet specified criteria. This team can then be traded for a reward, with players losing. The SBCs are probably the most difficult to complete, but if you manage to do it, you will be rewarded royally: with special packs, rare players or even a lot of coins.

Squad Battles

Squad Battles, on the other hand, are the easiest way, as you can choose both the level of difficulty and opponents yourself – and of course you can easily influence how difficult it is to achieve victory. However, the quality of the reward also decreases.

Division Rivals, on the other hand, offers the possibility to obtain multiple rewards at the same time. In addition to the regular coins and packs you get for wins, you also collect champions points. Reaching 2000 points earns you entry into the Champions Weekend League, where the best of the best compete for literal squad-changing prizes.

Attention pack trap

But not only earning coins is important when it comes to the well-being of our account. Equally important is being careful about what you spend your hard-earned coins on. Every coin tutorial agrees on one thing: don’t buy expensive packs! The contents of the packs are random, but in the vast majority of cases the value of the cards drawn is less than the value of the pack. It’s more worthwhile sticking to the cheaper Bronze and Silver packs and seeing which cards can be included in your roster and which can be sold on the transfer market. Similar to stock trading, it can also be worth keeping some cards in order to sell them later for a better price. It is therefore essential to keep an eye on the market.

FIFA 22 – FUTs

What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities

Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.

EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME

Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.

In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
