Soccer stars gamble with CoD pros! That was the idea of Luca Marseiler. The 24-year-old pro from Unterhaching organized a Warzone tournament for a good cause with the eSports event app e-Arenaa. The teams were drawn, one soccer pro each played together with a Warzone pro to win the 2vs2 tournament. The event lasted almost nine hours and was broadcast on the e-Arenaa Twitch channel.

Spectators donate in the stream – professionals auction off jerseys
The proceeds, which were mainly donated by the spectators during the benefit tournament, will go to the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Muskelkranke e.V. (German Society for Muscle Sufferers). All professional soccer players also provided a signed jersey, which was also auctioned off.
The tournament was won by CoD-Pro AllrounderMT, who together with Orestis Kiomourtzoglou showed a more than solid performance. The 23-year-old professional footballer, who now earns his money in the Netherlands, convinced as a passable shooter during the tournament.
The professional footballers proved that they can cut a good figure not only in FIFA. Even though the biggest names in the lineup had to drop out relatively early. Bayern star Niklas Süle and his teammate CPentagon didn’t make it past the first round, while BVB keeper Roman Bürki and iNoizzy were eliminated in the second round.

We can’t give you an official launch date for the next part of the FIFA game series yet. EA hasn’t communicated much in this regard yet, so so far we can only assume that FIFA 23 will be released in the period between mid-September and early October 2022, just like its predecessors. In the past years, the latest launch date of a FIFA game was October 06.
