Those who want to reach for international honors with the national team will also get their money’s worth in FIFA 22. But as so often, the licensing rights decide which team will appear in FIFA and which will only be created generically. We show you all national teams in FIFA 22.
Especially in the career mode the position of the national coach offers itself to extend its pool of talents and high performers… and maybe bring one or the other player to his club. In FIFA 22 there are again numerous national teams with which you can conquer the world. Do you mix up the elite with a soccer dwarf? Or do you lead a sleeping giant back to the top of the world? Once again, the choice is vast in FIFA 22.
EA Sports and Italy, it’s a love story. And not just since the deal with Serie A. With the fresh licensing rights for the Italian national team, the reigning European champions are now available again in FIFA 22. The ‘Squadra Azzurra’ gets a fat upgrade, so Jorginho and Co. are just waiting to finally be able to fully attack in FIFA. But which other national teams are available? Here you can see all national teams in FIFA 22.
But wait! We all know how the game works. As we have already seen with Italy, the motto is always: No license, no party. Of course, EA has to get the necessary licenses for the national teams as well – and those aren’t exactly cheap. While we can look forward to an upgrade of Italian soccer through the deal between Serie A, the Italian national team and EA, we also have to say goodbye to some national teams at the same time. A whopping 17 national teams have left the FIFA franchise! But hey: Ukraine is a new addition.
The tug-of-war about the licenses also annoys us. While FIFA continues to grab licenses for small and insignificant leagues, the big leagues are falling apart. Even though EA has secured an exclusive deal with Serie, more and more big Italian clubs are leaving the franchise. After Juventus and Roma, we now have to do without Atalanta and Lazio. But read for yourself in this article what is still in store for us.
For a better overview we have put together all available national teams for FIFA 22. The teams which are not available for FIFA 22 are listed as well. So… What are we waiting for?

As you can see, the top teams fortunately stay with us. But the national teams, which will be dropped in FIFA 22, have a lot to offer…
These national teams are missing in FIFA 22
Compared to FIFA 21 we have to say goodbye to the following national teams:
- Egypt
- Bolivia
- Bulgaria
- Chile
- Ecuador
- Ivory Coast
- India
- Cameroon
- Colombia
- Paraguay
- Peru
- Switzerland
- Slovenia
- South Africa
- Turkey
- Uruguay
- Venezuela
South America in particular has suffered heavy losses, with Switzerland and Turkey also hurting badly. The absence of African teams also takes away much of the magic of soccer. Just the challenge of leading an African team to the World Cup title for the first time would elevate the national teams tremendously! But what the heck… We have to wait for FIFA 23! Of course most of the players of the missing teams will stay with us, because their clubs or leagues are licensed, but still the lack of the national teams is a blatant downgrade for FIFA 22.
