Warzone – Season 2 is already in full swing and slowly approaching its climax. If we can trust the normal schedule, – Season 2: Reloaded should start in Vanguard and Warzone as early as Thursday, March 17. The mid– Season events usually always bring us at least one new weapon, one new operator, and a timed event with a new game mode. Of course, this event usually follows a certain theme as well. For example, in – Season 1: Reloaded it was Christmas and in – Season 6: Reloaded there is always a spooky Halloween event. But what could be the theme of – Season 2: Reloaded? Actually, it’s not that hard to guess. After all, March 17 is not only the date for the new mid– Season update, but also St. Patrick’s Day.
Goblins in Warzone & Vanguard
We’ve gotten fancy bundles to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Call of Duty before, but this time the developers seem to be going a little further. A Reddit user named r/CoD Competitive has shared a clip of a leprechaun found by data miners in the Vanguard and Warzone game files. Although the “St. Patrick’s Day” event hasn’t been officially announced yet, this clip should definitely confirm it. Those who played the Christmas event will probably feel unpleasantly reminded of the small, annoying elves:
Data Miners have found a Leprechaun in Vanguard… Last time there was elves and private matches were chalked from CoD Competitive
In the clip above, we see a finishing move that is obviously performed by a leprechaun. Yes, for some reason the goblin is still missing its body and you can only see its clothes performing the finishing move, but it’s easy to see that it’s a goblin. We strongly assume that this finishing move will be part of a “St. Patrick’s Day” bundle in the store. After all, there have been numerous bundles with finishing moves with dogs, bats or even zombies in the past.
However, we don’t think that the developers put so much effort into this little goblin just to blow it away as a finishing move. In our opinion, the goblins will certainly appear in other ways in Vanguard and Warzone. Possibly just like the Christmas elves in – Season 1: Reloaded, who hid everywhere and could be shot down. In keeping with the story of the leprechauns, if they get caught, they could drop a lot of coal in Warzone.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much more about the “St. Patrick’s Day” event in Vanguard and Warzone yet. But we are pretty sure that the goblins will steal the last nerve of many a player. Nevertheless, we are eagerly awaiting the mid– Season update.
Until then, we have already picked out the best weapons in Warzone and you can also use the time to unlock the two new – Season 2 weapons. The Whitley LMG and the KG M40 are really good weapons.
