For all Destiny 2 guardians who like to show what they can do in the tough endgame PvP, Trials, the Trials of Osiris at the 14th Saint will start again at the end of this week. But first, the weekly reset brings you a new update to the current story. MeinMMO tells you what you can play this week.

Update info for Hotfix 6.2.0.3: Today’s background maintenance for Hotfix 6.2.0.3 also brought a surprising downtime, so Destiny 2 servers were unreachable for a short time. The update is 201.8 MB on PC. However, the servers are now back online, so you can log in.

Here’s what’s happening this week: As always, a new chapter in Destiny 2’s – Season al storyline awaits Guardians in – Season 18, with Guardians especially wondering what dark secrets Mithrax, one of the main characters in – Season 18, is hiding. He is currently struggling to reconcile the marauder he once was and the leader he is now.

Maybe also because he doesn’t want his daughter to think badly of him. And it looks like Eramis, the thawed pirate bride from the “Beyond the Light” DLCs, might put a serious crimp in his plans.

In addition to the story, however, players can once again increase their power level by completing challenges. The normal top lot activities will be joined by the trials of Osiris at the end of the week.

After several weeks of abstinence, the PvE endgame returns, luring the elite to the prestigious Lighthouse via sweaty matches for immaculate loot. Plus, Vanguard grants double points to your reputation rank.

We’ll tell you what else to expect now.

Vanguard: Dawn – The Trial by Fire

Twilight: The Trial by Fire is the Strike:

• “Disgraced.”, in the cosmodrome
  • Navôta, the witch and successor of Omnigul, has the fireteam of Shaw Han, Cas and Maeve, on his conscience. Rob the flock in the cosmodrome of their leader again and take revenge – also in the name of Shawn.

This week’s Twilight Weapon: As a reward for your run, you always get a special twilight weapon. In – Season 18, Bungie has some good ol’ fashioned options to offer you.

• This week you’ll receive the “Whiplash” grenade launcher.

You will be able to earn the master version (Adept) of the twilight weapons from October 04. That’s when the hardest PvE difficulty level in Destiny 2 called “Frontrunner” will start.

Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers this week:

• Solar Scorch
• Stasis fire
• Grounded
• The modifier for scorching accompanies you all week, the others change daily.

Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation

What happens in the raid “The oath of the student“:

• In this week’s raid of the “Oath of the Disciple”, you are supposed to complete the challenge of “Basic Information” Survive. So, if you have collected a symbol for the obelisk, you must not exceed the buff “Increased Knowledge”.
• As a reward for completing the Caretaker Raid Encounter on Grandmaster this week, you have a chance to win a Master version of the Subjugation Submachine Gun, Forbearance Grenade Launcher, Catastrophic Linear Fusion Rifle, or Insidious Pulse Rifle. Keep in mind, however, that Hard and Normal modes share the loot.

Additional top bonuses from the endgame you get:

• In the Vex Raid “Glass Chamber” on Venus
• As well as in the dungeon “Suck of Greed

Weekly Activities

With – Season 18, new activities have come to Destiny 2, which turn the guardians into pirates with their own crew and make them puzzle over cryptic quatrains.

• Ketch Crash: Engage in ship vs. ship combat to stop Eramis and her band of pirates from throwing the galaxy into chaos in this new 6-player activity.
• Expedition: Assemble treasure maps, search for treasure, and return to your ship while fending off enemy pirate crews.
• Pirate Hideouts: Fight your way through weekly missions and capture powerful relics hidden in the pirate lords’ lairs.

Besides that, the contents of the current DLC “The Witch Queen” are still active and can be played. For example, in the weekly replayable campaign mission.

Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission

• “The Ritual” – Repeatable Witch Queen campaign mission
  • You are to travel to the Throne World on behalf of the Vanguard, as Savathun has taken the traveler there. While trying to free him, you must “play games” with her to reveal to the Witch Queen the betrayal and last memory of her worm ancestor. However, whether this was even a part of her plan, you’ll have to decide for yourself in the end.

• Petra Venj can now be found in the Dreaming City right at the Rheasilvia – as always at the 3rd curse week. At the same time the 1st Ascendant Challenge is active.

Sources for top loot in – Season 18 of Destiny 2

This is the new max level: In the new – Season of Raiders, the maximum power level of your equipment is 1,580, which means that the power level at the start of the new – Season 18 has increased by +10 compared to the previous – Season 17. All players will receive the basic base power level of 1,350.

How to get free loot: For all new and old keepers who would like to play in the future or after a break, Bungie has prepared “The Gift of the Thunder Gods” in – Season 18.

You can pick up this Loot Chest for free in H.E.L.M. after completing the “New Light” campaign. It will get you up to a power level of 1540 or even more – with Arcus armor and weapons, as well as two Exotic and ten Legendary items. You can also collect the rewards once for all your characters.
