Pokémon GO: Mega Simsala Debuts in Mega Raids

The Psycho Spectacle: Trainers in Pokémon GO can once again look forward to a Psycho Spectacle. So, like last year, the Psycho-type Pokémon will once again be the focus of the game. The event starts on September 6 at 10 am and ends on December 12 at 8 pm. This means that trainers have enough time to fully enjoy the Psycho spectacle. However, there are still more events waiting for the trainers in Pokémon GO in September.

  • Launch: September 6, 10 am
  • End: December 12, 8 pm

Debut of Mega Simsala: The Psycho Spectacular even brings us a brand new Pokémon debut this year, as for the first time, trainers can encounter Mega-Simsala. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter a Shiny specimen in the Mega Raids. If you catch a Simsala in the Raid, it will also have the Psychokinesis attack. If you don’t want to participate in a raid for the exclusive attack, you can simply evolve your Kadabra during the Psycho Spectacle, and the Simsala will also gain the attack Psychokinesis.

Field Research: You can also expect great rewards for completing field research during the Psycho Spectacular. You may even encounter the dazzling form of Pygraulon as a reward. If you don’t want to miss out on the new Shiny, you should diligently complete the field research in Pokémon GO in the following weeks. You can still encounter these Pokémon at the end of the research (all Pokémon marked with an asterisk can also be encountered as Shiny):

  • Puppance*
  • Palimpalim*
  • Pygraulon*
  • Hypno

Temporary research: During the Psycho Spectacular, coaches will also be able to participate in some limited research. This will literally revolve around curveball throws. If you complete this research, you’ll even have the chance to encounter several Pygraulon at once.

Pokémon GO: All spwans to the psycho spectacle

Spawns in the wild: During the Psycho Spectacular in Pokémon GO, certain Pokémon will spawn more frequently in the wild. You can look forward to the following Pokémon during the event. With luck, you may even encounter Shinys, so keep your eyes peeled.

  • Abra*
  • Flegmon*
  • Traumato*
  • Natu*
  • Trasla*
  • Spoink*
  • Somniam*
  • Fleknoil*
  • Mollimorba
  • Monocyto
  • Pygraulon*
  • Kadabra
  • Kirlia

Pokémon from eggs: New Pokémon also hatch from eggs during the Psycho Spectacular. However, this time there are only changes to the 7 km eggs, with the rest of the distances remaining the same. These monsters await you in the 7 km eggs of Pokémon GO (an asterisk means you can also catch this Pokémon as a Shiny):

Pokémon GO: All raid bosses of the Psycho Spectacle

All Raids: In the course of the Psycho Spectacular, you also have to prepare for new raid bosses. You can now meet Mega Simsala for the first time in the Mega Raids, but the rest of the Raid stages also have a lot in store for you. These are the Pokémon you can meet in the Pokémon GO Raids (if a Pokémon is marked with a star, you have a chance to get a Shiny):

  • Raids level 1
  • Icognito E
  • Icognito P
  • Icognito S
  • Psiau*
  • Raids level 3
  • ALoLa Raichu*
  • Woingenau*
  • Girafarig*
  • Kommandutan
  • Raids level 5
  • Deoxys Normal Form*
  • Deoxy Attack Form*
  • Deoxys defense form
  • Deoxys Initiative Form*
  • Mega Raids
  • Mega Simsala*

Extra Event: On Sunday, September 11, a real highlight awaits you in Pokémon GO. On this day, an entire raid day will be celebrated in honor of the mysterious Pokémon Deoxys as part of the Psycho Spectacular. All forms of Deoxys will then appear in the level 5 raids, and with luck you can even encounter all forms as Shiny. These are the bonuses that trainers get on Raid Day with Deoxys:

  • All forms of Deoxys appear more often in the raid
  • Up to five additional free raid passes when you shoot photo discs or arenas.
  • The chance of dazzling Deoxys are increased.

Psycho Cup: Only Pokémon with a maximum WP of 1500 may participate in the Battle in the – Season of Light in Pokémon GO, and the Pokémon must also be of the Psycho type. However, the Pokémon Mew is excluded from the Cup.
