• On June 22nd, Warzone – Season 4 started, which also brought with it the new map Fortune’s Keep.
• The map has been well received by many players so far, but it also brings back an old glitch from previous maps.
• It is currently unclear when the glitch will be fixed.

Players glitch their way through walls – get quick kills

What is the problem? It has almost become a tradition. With the launch of a new map in the “Battle Royale” shooter CoD Warzone, the wall glitch also comes back. Verdansk, Rebirth Island and Caldera already had massive problems with broken walls and Fortune’s Keep was not spared here. Even in CoD MW 2019 bullets already came out of the walls:

Some players have already found various places on the new map Fortune’s Keep where they can glitch through walls and even the ground. Once through the wall, your opponents can continue to shoot at you, picking off kills with ease. The problem: You can’t defend yourself, because the walls don’t let shots through from the outside. So the walls and the floor act as a kind of shield for the “slipped through”. A particularly problematic place is the city on the new map. Enemies who are glitched into walls and floors here can easily target a nearby buying station. Should you then want to upgrade your equipment there, you will most likely meet an abrupt end without even having seen your opponents.

What do the developers have to say about it? So far, the developers have not commented on the problem. Also, no updates have been posted on the official Warzone Trello board regarding the wall glitch (via trello.com). So it remains to be seen when the problem will be fixed.

Fortune’s Keep already “better than Rebirth Island” according to fans.

What do players say about the new map? The new map is creating a buzz and drawing many players back to Warzone.

In a thread on Reddit, some Warzone fans praise the new map (via reddit.com). Especially the variety and the new dynamics in the gameplay seem to go down well with the players.

• Gary_BBGames writes: “I had so much fun on this map. So much variety. There was always a chance to escape and reposition. Lots of cool secret tunnels. It’s just awesome. It’s so much fun. I saw that the player count was reduced to be able to learn the map, but it feels so perfect. I hope they don’t screw it up.”
• Spartan1102 writes: “It has completely rekindled my love for Warzone (and that of my team). I’d love to have a more diverse meta on the map than just NZ/Blixen/Marco, but even with that lame meta, the map is just awesome. I’ll be sad when the map is taken out again and the outdated Rebirth Island comes back.”

Here and there, some users complain about the rooftop campers in town on Fortune’s Island. But otherwise, the mood in the Reddit thread is very positive. Fortune’s Keep seems to be a complete success – despite the annoying wall glitch. However, only time will tell if it will stay that way. What do you think of Fortune’s Keep?
