To find out, take a look at the new WoW video by machinimaker and lore guru PlatinumWoW, which he released on July 1, 2022 and is therefore still very fresh. The video is about the very first collaboration between a member of the Horde and one of the Alliance … and no, the dream team is not about Jaina and Thrall and weird fanfiction thoughts of smooches under the Kalimdor canopy. Tirion, as a member of the Paladin Order of the Silver Hand, once presided over Hearthglen as governor; during a time when most orcs were held in internment camps after the Second War. When rumors of an approaching orc threat surfaced, Tirion patrolled along the borders of his realm to find out if the news was true. As he passed an abandoned watchtower, he spotted – whoops! – an orc, namely Eitrigg. The two engaged in a duel, but an honorable one. Tirion was pushed into the ruined tower by Eitrigg, and the tower collapsed on the paladin. Eitrigg decided to dig Tirion out and put him on his horse.
Tirion’s faithful mount found its way back to Hearthglen, where the paladin was cared for. The inhabitants of the settlement feared that a horde of orcs would enter the town, while Tirion tried to allay their fears. However, it did not help. While Tirion, impressed by Eitrigg’s honorable behavior, sought out the orc for a talk, the paladins of the Silver Hand invaded Hearthglen and, upon his return, forced Tirion to reveal the orc’s whereabouts.
The most unfair trial ever?
It came as it had to: Eitrigg was arrested and condemned to death. Tirion was arrested and had to answer to a court of treason. It was decided that Tirion would be deprived of all light and possessions. Henceforth he would have to live in exile. But Tirion was a man of honor. And so he went to Stratholme and tried to free Eitrigg … but it was too late. Eitrigg had been hanged.

Tirion took his corpse and, using all his concentration and power, tried to revive Eitrigg. And it succeeded, even though Tirion had been disowned by the Order. To make a long story short, Eitrigg finally went to Kalimdor with Thrall and his idea of a new Horde, while Tirion awaited a life in exile for the time being.
