In Pokémon GO, the Christmas event started today, December 16, 2021. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at what monsters, shinys and bonuses await you for the first part of the event.

What kind of event is it? On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas holidays, there will be a themed holiday event in Pokémon GO. Once again, you can look forward to numerous spawns and special features that the game has in store for you during the Christmas – Season .

When will the event start? The Christmas event started, on December 16, 2021, at 10:00 am local time and will run until the end of the year, December 31, 2021, at 8:00 pm local time. The event will be divided into two event sections (via pokemongolive.com):

• Pokémon GO Holiday Part 1: December 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to December 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
• Pokémon GO Holidays Part 2: December 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to December 31, 2021 at 8:00 p.m.

During the first part of the event, you can of course look forward to numerous Pokémon. One or the other specimen has even dressed up especially for you. So look out for costumed monsters like Pikachu, Botogel, Damhirplex, Seemops, Petznief and Glaziola in the wild and in Raids.

• Snail*
• Christmas sea pug*
• Shnebedeck*
• Gelatini
• Christmas sneeze*
• ALoLa Sandan* (somewhat rare to find)
• Frigometri (somewhat rarer to find)

Pokémon in Raids:

All bonuses for Christmas event

In addition to the changed spawns and raid bosses, you can also look forward to one or the other bonus. The Christmas event has the following bonuses in store for you from December 16, 2021:

• Open up to 45 gifts daily
• Limit for storage increased to up to 40 gifts
• Rocket bullies use water and ice Pokémon more often in battle
• Special WP boost for Mega Rexblisar

In addition, you can look forward to the following special features in the game:

• New event quests during the 1st event part
  • Reward: Encounter Pikachu with Christmas Cap*, ALoLa Vulpix*, Squeak*, Christmas Damhirplex*, Christmas Seemops*, Christmas Petznief*, and Frigometri.
• New special research on the – Season of origin
• Holiday Cup in PvP League
• New feature: Postcard book
• Event stickers (in gifts, at PokéStops and in the store)

During the Christmas Event Weekend, on December 18 and 19, Community Day will also take place. This December C-Day will be huge, bringing you 25 monsters, including Kaumalat, Wablu, and Sheinux.

In the in-game store, you can expect new avatar items and changed content in the boxes during the Christmas event:

  • Special box with 50 Pokéballs, 2 Premium Battle Passes, 2 Super Incubators and 3 Star Pieces for 480 PokéCoins.
  • Hyperbox with 25 Hyperballs, 18 Raid Passes, 5 Super Brooders and 5 Smokes for 1,480 PokéCoins.
  • Adventure Box with 18 Super Brooders, 2 Brooders, 2 Smokes and 4 Star Pieces for 1,480 PokéCoins.
