In Call of Duty: Warzone you have the choice of which team size you start with in the Battle Royale. Here, MeinMMO introduces you to the best equipment for trio teams and tells you what you should pack in your loadouts to be prepared for all situations.
What are the benefits of coordinated loadouts in the warzone? Coordinating with your team on who takes what equipment and weapons can give you a strong advantage over teams that choose their loadouts based on the day.
Unless you’re roaming the Call of Duty: Warzone with a strong solo loadout, you should always coordinate your loadout with your teammates.
MyMMO gives you a strong template for your trio team here and presents 3 loadouts that bring all the important equipment and tools against the dangers of BR.
Warzone Trio Loadouts and Tactics – Ready for Battle in BR-3s.
In the Warzone, you’ll need to pay attention to a few things to succeed. Campers, vehicles, privacy-defying thermal visors, and a lot more. But many gadgets and equipment you can counter or prepare well for. The best way to do this is to assign roles within your team:
- Frontline Fighter – Goes into CQCs (Close Combat Battles) and clears unknown areas.
- Supporter – Clears vehicles and protects the team
- Sniper – Scouts the planned path and sets headshots
With this split, anything can come at you and yet you’ll always have the right equipment or countermeasure ready for enemy action. Here are the roles in detail:
Trio Loadout 1 – Frontline fighter with AUG setup to melt enemies.
- Attachments of the AUG
- Muzzle: Silencer (monolith)
- Barrel: 407 mm lightweight
- Stock: FORGE TAC melee wedge
- Underbarrel: Command foregrip
- Ammunition: 5.56 NATO 60 shot drum / 5.56-NATO 30 shot magazine
- Perks
- Blue: Cold Blooded / KRD
- Red: Ghost
- Yellow: scout / tracker
- Equipment
- Second weapon: Weapon with range loot
- Primary: C4
- Tactics: Heartbeat sensor
- Matching field upgrade: Dead silence / Trophy system
What does this loadout do? The frontline fighter is the spearhead of your team and provides the push. He is always the first to go through uncertain doors, pushes enemy teams and supports his team members in close combat when they need help.
Powerful MPs with a portion of range are suitable as the main weapon for this purpose. The AUG with the 5.56 conversion kit has top DPS values (damage per second) and kills enemies quickly and reliably at short and medium range.
To support your team at longer distances, loot a weapon with a lot of range in Verdansk. A sniper rifle or the single-shot assault rifle FAL will give you that extra kick of flexibility. Since the AUG continues to consume the MP ammo despite the 5.56 attachment, you can use the FAL without any problems.
“Cold Blooded” and “Ghost” are among the strongest perks of the Warzone. Use them to counter heartbeat sensors, drones, and thermal sights. As a “Scout” you can also see enemy equipment in houses and, together with the heartbeat sensor, scout out enemy positions. If you find “dead silence”, you can then attack these positions as unnoticed as possible.
Use the C4 to protect yourself from intrusive vehicles that want to get too close to you. This explosive is excellent for destroying vehicles in the warzone. It’s also very useful for taking off the armor of campers in attics as a precautionary measure and announcing that it’s about to get uncomfortable. On the consoles, by the way, you activate a single thrown C4 by pressing “Reload” twice in quick succession.
What else could I adjust here? If you find the AUG too sluggish with this setup, swap out the 60-round drum for the smaller 5.56 magazine. This way you are faster in the sights, have a little more control, but also only half the bullets. The MP5 is in no way inferior to the AUG in terms of DPS and will also get you ahead here.
Instead of the thermal protection “Cold Blooded”, “KDR” is a good choice. The perk helps with enemy explosive attacks by rocket launchers or the like. An invaluable aid against the much-used RPG, which became even stronger after a rework of the rocket launcher. However, you will then be at a disadvantage against thermal snipers, as you will shine as brightly in their sights as the new LED lighting on a main road.
Instead of “Scout”, the yellow “Tracker” perk also works here. This allows you to see the footsteps of enemies for a while, which can be very helpful when tracking or finding enemies.
Once you have your field equipment slot free, plug in a Trophy System. With this device you can protect your vehicles from missiles or keep enemy equipment at bay during combat. A more detailed analysis of the Trophy System can be found here:
How to use the Trophy System correctly and gain strong advantages
Trio Loadout 2 – Supporter with strong gray setup for vehicles and support.
- Attachments of gray 5.56
- Muzzle: Silencer (monolith)
- Barrel: Tempus 26,4″ Archangel
- Underbarrel: Command Foregrip
- Ammunition: 50-round magazine / 60-round magazine
- Grip: XRK Void II / Stock: Without stock
- Perks
- Blue: Cold Blooded
- Red: Ghost
- Yellow: Untwist
- Equipment
- Second weapon: PILA rocket launcher
- Primary: Semtex / fragmentation grenade / C4
- Matching field upgrade: Mobile cover / Special ammunition
What does this loadout do? The supporter basically has 3 tasks in the team:
- Support frontline fighters with flank attacks
- Keep the team alive
- Shoot up enemy vehicles
With the gray setup, the supporter loses some effectiveness in close combat, but hits almost everything, even at long ranges. The support should operate from the second row behind the frontline fighter, finding and exploiting possible flanking positions. Semtex or fragmentation grenades support your joint advance.
Again, “Spirit” and “Cold Blooded” bring strong advantages as there is less chance of being spotted early.
To help the team survive, Support always makes sure to stay in cover a lot and get knocked out as rarely as possible or retreat faster sometimes. Revive” will revive your team members 25% faster. The smoke grenade helps to secure comrades in contested areas or a retreat.
The Smoke Grenade has many other uses as well. It’s a powerful tool when team members already have heartbeat sensors with them. Support finds another tool with the mobile cover. With it, you can reach some places in Verdansk that you can’t get to without it, or on a wall that would otherwise be a bit too high.
On top of that you get the PILA launcher, so your team is equipped against vehicles. The whole team should collect rocket ammo for the supporter. This way the PILA always has plenty of ammo and every vehicle that gets in range of the targeting should have a missile sent after it. Here’s more info on the missile launchers in CoD MW & Warzone.
What else could I customize here? The full power against vehicles is given with C4 in the primary equipment slot. One shot with the PILA and a placed charge of C4 blows up even trucks. One player once impressively proved how effective C4 can be against 2 trucks at once.
If the Grey 5.56 is already stable enough for you, take off the stock instead of the Void grip. “Without the stock” you get more mobility and trade it for some control. The disadvantages of the 60-round magazine are hardly noticeable in “Without Stock”, which is also worth considering. If you’re playing free-to-play and haven’t unlocked the gray, try the M13’s laser setup. However, this assault rifle eats a lot more bullets.
If you find special ammo, stuff it directly into your Grau. The sturdy weapon deals a bit more damage as a result, in exchange for only minimal handling drawbacks. The maximum 30 rounds in the pack also don’t come out of your reserve, giving you a few extra shots.
Trio Loadout 3 – Sniper with HDR setup for strong hits on enemy teams.
- Attachments of the HDR
- Muzzle: Silencer (monolith)
- Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Sight: Thermal dual power scope
- Stock: FTAC Champion
- Perks
- Blue: Cold blooded
- Red: Ghost / Overkill
- Yellow: Eager
- Equipment
- Second weapon: Weapon with high mobility loot
- Primary: Claymore / Proximity Mine
- Tactics: Heartbeat Sensor
- Matching field upgrade: Ammo box / Armor box / Trophy system.
What does this loadout do? The Sniper on the team clears areas, pressures enemies, and deals painful hits to enemy teams that get in your way. Always on the move to the next rooftop, he forms the backbone of the team, but never strays too far from his colleagues.
The HDR setup is one of our top 3 loadouts for Snipers in the Warzone, bringing you near-perfect targeting stability. The thermal sight allows you to see enemies without “cold blooded” at long distances and the strong handling of the weapon allows for pinpoint hits.
The Ninja Perks “Cold Blooded” and “Ghost” should also pack the Sniper. If you’re playing a bit more secluded and away from your team, however, other perks are possible here.
To avoid being completely reliant on your Quick Scope skills in close combat, look for a fast secondary weapon in the Warzone. There are some strong builds of MPs or mobile assault rifles that will complement your long range nicely.
For the best coverage of your team’s back, pack a heartbeat sensor and proximity mines. Check the area behind you every now and then with the sensor to see if teams without a “ghost” are approaching and place mines at the entrances to your spots. If you leave your position, the mines can be lifted again.
When it comes to field upgrades, the Sniper is something of a pack mule. If your team finds an ammunition or armor box is already well served, push the gadgets to the Sniper in hand. Trophy systems or other helpful machines, like the small reconnaissance drone, also fit into the inventory if you don’t have a reserve crate in your pocket.
What else could I customize here? When you don’t want to rely on finding a mobile weapon in the warzone, take “Overkill” as a red perk. This will give you a fully equipped second weapon on the battlefield. As a secondary weapon, also go for the sturdy Gray 5.56 or one of the strong Warzone MPs, like the AUG, MP5 or MP7.
However, if you are then compact together as a team, enemies will see you on their heartbeat sensor, which can be a big disadvantage. Going into the endgame, try to pick up one of the free supply crates to organize “spirit” after all.
Trio tactics for strong teamwork
What are the advantages of this split here? By staggering in 3 rows, you minimize your chance of going down completely as a team. In addition, you cover a larger field of vision, since each team member has his own task:
- Front fighters secure the area to the front and look for the best ways for the advance
- Supporters cover the flanks of the front fighter and support in firefights
- Snipers cover the back of the team and shoot at anything that moves
Together with your coordinated equipment, you have the right solution for almost every problem. Now you just need the right match tactics. For this purpose, we have presented the tactics of the most successful Warzone player here on MyMMO.
