The best team in Europe challenges the strongest team in the world in brilliant video

In , #G2Esports is the best team in Europe. But the Korean LoL #TeamT1 has a score to settle with them: The Koreans around superstar #Faker are currently considered the strongest LoL team in the world. They are favorites to win the MSI 2022 tournament. G2 has now issued a challenge in an iconic clip: It revolves around the German top laner #BrokenBlade, the #Topfather.

What’s going on with G2 and T1?

  • There are few occasions when teams from different regions play against each other in LoL: Either at the or at the MSI, the “mid– Season ” tournament.
  • G2 , as an actual underdog in 2019, managed to bowl T1 out of the all-important Worlds tournament in the semifinals. This is because they played a chaotic “on the mouth” style for a long time, which the planful Koreans couldn’t cope with. Since then, Faker in particular has a score to settle with G2 and wants to take on the veterans, Jungler Jankos and Midlaner Caps – which he mentions at every opportunity.
  • G2, on the other hand, enjoy their reputation as the “Korea fright” and are already looking forward to the upcoming tournament MSI 2022, because there they could meet T1 again. After a long break from the international stage and lackluster months, MSI is a highlight for G2. And the social media team is once again in top form.

Video around the “Topfather” should get the fans hot for the MSI

This is now the video:

In a video over three and a half minutes, G2 celebrates a parody of the movie “The Godfather”: The Mafia classic is called “The Godfahter” in English, so the German-Turk Broken Blade suddenly becomes the “Topfather”.

His teammates join him as supplicants and killers. Especially Jankos shines there in his role – he obviously missed his spear with Nidalee again, presses around and now has to bear the consequence.

Nidalee is a youngster in LoL: it’s tricky to hit with her spear throw. However, that is crucial for success. Jankos is known to carrien extremely hard with Nidalee when he hits the spears, and go completely down when he misses with the spears. This is a caps/craps situation.

Hidden in the video, among other things, is a side swipe at “Evil Geniuses”, they had surprisingly become champions in the US and had dared to challenge G2: We will make short work of these loudmouthed geniuses who open their mouths after a single success,” announces the Topfather as he talks to a duck.

Finally, team boss Ocelote appears and asks the “Topfather” to make sure that G2 wins the tournament.

He can’t do that, says the Topfather. But bowling T1 out of the tournament is possible.

LoL: A 19-year-old is the best player in Korea – Yet he plays the most thankless role

Chaotic outsiders against young team for the greatest of all time

How good are both teams then?

On paper, T1 has arguably played the most dominant – Season of any team in LoL ever. T1 simply never lost in Korea, they won everything.

T1 has now surrounded its star Faker, the “immortal demon king,” with outstanding young talent, such as supporter Keria and his brilliant botlane partner Gumayusi. After a few weak years, the success-hungry T1 looks really strong in 2022. Faker is hot on the heels of 2013, 2015, and 2016 to finally claim his fourth world championship.

2022 could be the year of T1 and Faker again after many years of drought.

G2, on the other hand, was actually considered to be out of shape for years, the team even broke apart before 2022 and had to rebuild. In the end, however, G2 was able to play itself into shape after a mediocre – Season and then win the LEC championship once again.

On paper, G2 doesn’t really have much of a chance to win the MSI, and T1 is considered a heavy favorite. Bookmakers view:

  • T1 at 1:1.57
  • Royal Never Give Up at 1:2.75
  • G2 Esports but at 1:8

However, lousy odds have never bothered G2. The Topfather will fix it.
