The best raid loot from phase 2 (SSC & the eye)

: The best raid loot from phase 2 (SSC & the eye)

The coming Phase 2 of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic should be a feast for all raid enthusiasts. With the Serpent Shrine and the Eye in the Fortress of Storms, two 25-player challenges will open their doors, which also have much more to offer than Gruul’s Lair and Magtheridon’s Chamber.

As in WoW (buy now ) Classic, we would like to take a look ahead again in TBC Classic and tell you which loot highlights await you in “SSC” and “TK”. Look forward to strong class tier sets, class-specific trinkets and a very special mount.

The special mount from the Fortress of Storms

No sooner have you entered the Eye in the Fortress of Storms than you can challenge Al’ar, one of the most visually stunning bosses of the TBC Classic era. If you like the model of the bird, we have good news for you: with a lot of luck, you can ride Al’ar. For this you will need the item Al’ar’s Asheswhich does not drop from Al’ar, but from boss Kael’thas Sunwalker.

WoW: If you want to fly on Al'ar, you have to defeat Kael'thas in the Fortress of Storms and have a lot of luck.

As in Phase 1, some select raid bosses from TBC Classic Phase 2 will drop tokens for certain classes and armor slots, which you can then exchange for the respective parts of your Tier 5 class set at the already known NPCs in Shattrath. Thanks to the PTR, we already know:

  • Raufgar, Gruul, and Magtheridon will each drop two Tier 4 tokens per kill with Phase 2.
  • Leotheras, Karathress, Lady Vashj, Leerhäscher, and Kael’thas will drop two tokens of Tier 5 sets from the beginning.

Overall, Tier 5 sets will play a larger role than they did in Phase 1, as there are currently many specializations that rely on manufactured equipment or other alternatives. The upcoming tier sets will at least in many cases outperform the phase 1 items, sometimes providing strong bonuses. and look really good almost across the board. Here are some set bonus highlights:

  • Already in phase 1 are many Mage switched to because this specialization promises huge damage values in the short battles. The potential of Arcane will increase in Phase 2 thanks to the first Tier 5 bonus: 2 parts: Increases the damage and mana cost of Arcane Strike by 20%..
  • If Rogues can save energy via a set bonus, then that’s always a fine thing. This also applies to the set Breath of Death. 4 parts: Grants your attacks a chance to make your next finishing move cost no energy.
  • While offensive Warrior away from the Tier 5 set, protective warriors will find themselves in the medium term four parts of the Destroyer armor want to acquire. So they activate the following bonus: 4 parts: Every time you get hit, there is a chance that your tempo rating will be increased by 200 for 10 secs.
  • The bonus of 2 from the Tier 5 set may be for Amplifier be rather meager, but the bonus 4 parts pulls it out: 4 parts: Your ability ‘Hail of Blows’ increases your attack speed by an additional 5%..
  • For healing priests the Avatar robe so good (in terms of stats, socket slots, style, and bonuses) that they ditch the Primal Mooncloth set and the White Healer’s Wisdom set for it and wear a whopping five pieces. Here are the two set bonuses: 2 parts: When your Great Heal spell completely heals the target, you gain 100 mana. / 4 parts: Increases the duration of ‘Renewal’ by 3 sec..

WoW TBC Classic: Some of the Tier 5 sets are some of the most beautiful WoW sets ever.

The best gems from the phase 2

Some class-exclusive trinkets drop in the Fortress of Storms and the Serpent Shrine, but not all of them are BiS list quality. Here are the best class trinkets:

  • Coil of the Warp Source: Not quite as “op” as the Dragon swirl trophy from Gruul, but for the second Trinket slot, Rogues won’t find anything better in Phase 2.
  • Solarians Sapphire reads unspectacular at first glance, but can be a strong option at least for supporting weapon warriors who should keep Battlecry active.
  • Braid of the Serpent Snare: The great weakness of arcane mages is their mana efficiency. Accordingly, mana gems are important in their rotation. And accordingly, it makes sense for arcane mages to get this Trinket.

And here are some more very strong trinkets from the Phase 2 raids, open to all classes:

  • Tsunamitalisman: It is no accident that almost all melee fighters and fighters in phase 2 have the Dragon Whirl Trophy and the Trinket of Leotheras on their BiS list. Rogues fall out here only thanks to the coil, but if they don’t have the Gruul Trinket yet, even they won’t say “No!” to the Talisman.
  • Sextant of the unsteady current: A very strong Trinket for all spellcasters who want to get to enormously high spell crit values, i.e. fire mages and elemental shamans.
  • Earring of soulful meditation: While “Circle of Healing” priests fare better with Phase 1 trinkets, the gem from the Grey from the Deep is a strong option for all Discipline priests.

WoW TBC Classic: Kael'thas can drop many of the best loot from Phase 2.

The best weapons from the phase 2 raids

In SSC and TK, some weapons drop that are strong upgrades to Phase 1 epics.

  • While rogues in the secondary hand continue to be based on Latro’s sword of transformation for the main hand, they should definitely choose the Claw of Azshara from Morogrim Tide Shifters. But there’s competition with Furor Warriors. For them, the sword is a very powerful sidearm.
  • The Nexus Key: The Staff of Kael’thas should be at the top of the wish list of various spellcasters. Especially for balance druids, arcane mages and elemental shamans the staff is interesting.
  • For those who prefer a one-handed weapon and a side-handed item, Leotheras offers the Fang of the Leviathan hope. This applies to all warlocks and fire mages, for example.
  • While cats in phase 2 continue to Terestian’s choke bar set, bears will be on the SSC trash drop Wild Wrath Grand Staff hope.
  • The healer flask from the prince is already very nice, but this looks old compared to the Scepter of Light Depth by Lady Vashj.
  • Also from Lady Vashj is the Longbow of the Serpent’s Back, which is at the top of the wish list of hunters.
  • 130 DpS, 3 sockets, lots of stamina, AP and crit: the Twin Blade of the Phoenix by Kael’thas is a great choice for all weapon warriors and retributionists.
  • Protection warriors would do anything for more weapon lore. Alternatively, they simply pull the Strike Hammer of the Tides from the horror from the deep.
  • For those who go into battle with two one-handed weapons and do not necessarily rely on swords or manufactured blacksmithing weapons, the Fortress of Storms combination of Claw of the Phoenix and Rod of the Sun King interesting. Where hunter as a pure value carrier Claw of the Phoenix prefer in the secondary hand.
  • Last but not least, the new wands for casters: Wand of the forgotten star for the offensive and Flickering rod of the Naaru For healers.
