With the integration of CoD: Vanguard into WarZone, a bunch of new weapons came into the game and of course the Warzone meta changed with it. Especially thanks to the new mode “VanguardRoyale”, where we are allowed to use exclusively equipment and weapons from Vanguard, many players have to look for a new favorite weapon. As usual, the #Kar98k again a very popular primary weapon, but also the #MP-40 or the STG44 are not to be sneezed at. But what about all the other cool weapons in the game?
The PPSh-41 has been available since Vanguard was integrated into Warzone, but it didn’t get much attention for a long time. What makes the PPSh-41 special is its extremely high rate of fire. This makes it very strong especially in close combat, but since it is hardly possible to control it during continuous fire, it is useless from about 10 meters away from the enemy. But if you combine the PPSh-41 with a good weapon for longer distances, you have a damn nimble shredder for close combat.
PPSh-41 Warzone Setup
In our setup, we naturally focus on using it in absolute close combat. So we focus on mobility, but also control, since the #PPSh-41 jumps around like crazy when firing. The following attachments are necessary for this:
- Muzzle: recoil booster
- Barrel: ZAC 300mm
- Sight: Slate reflector
- Stock: Kovalevskaya skeleton
- Underbarrel: Mark VI skeleton
- Magazine: 7.62mm Gorenko 71-round magazine
- Ammunition type: hollow point
- Handle: Cloth handle
- Extra: Fixed handle
- Extra 2: Fast
As mentioned earlier, we’re all about speed here. The muzzle increases the rate of fire and the other attachments focus mostly on mobility. Only the large magazine slows us down a bit, but 71 rounds are definitely worth it. With this setup, we achieve an incredibly fast TTK in close combat, but can’t do anything at all at medium or even long ranges. So pack a good assault rifle or even a sniper and really only use the PPSh-41 for pushing or if you are surprised in close combat.
PPSh-41 Warzone Loadout
Although the PPSh-41 is damn strong, it really works exclusively in close combat. Accordingly, we definitely need a weapon for the medium and long distances. So, unfortunately, we can’t do without the “Overkill” perk. The best option here is Bren, which works great at longer distances and is also very easy to play. If you don’t like the Bren and prefer sniping, we also have a Kar98k loadout for you here.
As for the perks, we’re going for “Cold Blooded” and “Combat Scout” otherwise. The latter marks shot enemies red even through walls or other cover, which makes it easier for us to finish them. With Cold Blooded, on the other hand, we counter exactly this perk, as it is currently very popular and used by many players. The combination of Semtex and Blinding Grenade is also ideal. Semtex works great against players and vehicles, while Flashes can be used for both pushing and escaping.
- Primary Weapon: STG44/Bren/Kar98k (basically any weapon with good range).
- Secondary weapon: PPSh-41 (with above setup)
- Perk 1: Cold Blooded
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Battle scout
- Primary: Semtex
- Tactics: Stun grenade
That was our PPSh-41 setup guide for Warzone. If you are looking for a really fast submachine gun for close combat, you definitely won’t go wrong with the PPSh-41. If you don’t like this gun, maybe the MP-40 is something for you.
