The MP-40 is one of the best MPs in Vanguard multiplayer and has been considered somewhat overpowered for quite some time – this is also evident in Warzone. It’s not overpowered here, as MPs have limited utility in Warzone, but as a secondary weapon it’s the bomb. The MP-40 is easy to control and has a surprisingly long range for an MP, which is what makes it so good in Warzone.

MP-40 Warzone Setup

In our setup, we focus on using the MP-40 as a secondary weapon alongside a sniper. Of course, it can also be combined with any other weapon, but it is especially impressive as a sniper support. So we want to achieve precision and recoil control with the setup, but also the largest possible magazine. With the following attachments, we get the best out of the MP-40.

• Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
• Barrel: Krausnick 317mm 04B
• Sight: Slate reflector
• Stock: VDD 34m padded
• Underbarrel: M1941 hand stopper
• Magazine: 9mm 64-round drums
• Ammunition type: Extended

With this setup we increase damage, range and magazine size while having good accuracy. The extended ammo also increases bullet speed, which is very helpful for fights at slightly longer ranges. The prop skill additionally reduces the initial recoil. All in all, we get a very balanced and easy to play MP-40 setup.

Unfortunately, since an MP can’t serve as a primary weapon in Warzone, we can’t do without the Overkill Perk. So we need a good primary weapon for the long distances on Caldera. The best choice here is the Kar98k, which is once again the best sniper in Warzone. In combination with the MP-40 you have a very good loadout for all distances.

As for the other perks, we’re going to go with Rush and Eager. The former lets us use the Tactical Sprint longer, which is essential if you need to change positions quickly as a sniper. The last perk, Zealous, allows us to switch between the two weapons faster – also essential if you get caught in close combat while sniping. The combination of incendiary and stun grenade is also ideal. The incendiary grenade does damage over time and blocks a relatively large area, while flashes can be used for both pushing and escaping.
