This is how the Tier List is structured: In this article we would like to tell you which are currently the strongest classes in Lost Ark. For this purpose, MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch has intensively dealt with the topic in the beta and also watched several videos and tier lists from experts.

The result was a tier list for PvE and one for PvP, since both play styles are very different from each other. The classes were assigned to different tiers:

• In the S-Tier are the strongest classes
• In the A-tier are still strong classes, but not quite so dominant
• In the B-tier are classes that are strong in certain situations
• In the C-tier are the currently weakest classes

The important thing to note about this tier list is that the order will change, depending on the respective updates in the game. We will constantly update the list after the release. Also, the Tier List is only a guideline. Played correctly, each class can be useful in PvE and PvP.

The best classes in PvE

This Tier List focuses on how useful each class is in group content in PvE.

Explanations of the classes in the S-Tier:

• The Bard and Paladin are set in PvE in the S-Tier because they are the only support classes in the game. They are therefore especially useful in pretty much any group in dungeons and raids. How to level up the Paladin and which skills he has, we reveal in our guide to the class.
• The Berserker also brings additional damage to the entire party in the form of a debuff that increases the incoming damage that enemies take.
• The sorceress has a strong burst damage. However, if attacks miss or the rotation is not used well, she drops in DPS very quickly.

Explanations of the classes in the A-Tier:

• The Artilleryman reduces incoming damage and has a shield for the party. However, if you have a support with you, you will not necessarily need this shield.
• The Artificer is a rather heavy class overall, but if played well can definitely keep up with those in the S tier. However, she is down very quickly and a dead teammate is of little use to the group.
• The Pistol Lancer is the class with the strongest defense in Lost Ark. It can block attacks with a shield and has a taunt. Accordingly, Pistol Lancers are useful in groups.
• The Shadowhunter has some useful abilities for surviving alone in the world, including healing when she transforms. The pure stats are fine, but she brings significantly less to the group compared to the S-tier classes.
• The Scrapper is also strong on its own, but brings little benefit to the group.
• The Deathblade also has some group buffs, but they are very specific to frontal or back attacks. Especially in random groups, however, this is too specific to be fully exploited.

Explanations of the classes in B-Tier:

• The war dancer primarily comes with some useful group buffs, including a higher crit chance and faster attack speed. However, she is hard to play if you want high damage yourself.
• The sniper has good damage and can be in ranged combat virtually permanently. The class is strong on its own, but it doesn’t bring enough to the group as a whole.

Explanations of the classes in the C-Tier:

• The Battle Monk is the male counterpart to the War Dancer, but with a slightly weaker buff and a bit slower in terms of play style. Basically, the War Dancer can do almost everything better than the Battle Monk.
• The Soul Fist has strong burst, but only behind long cast times. Therefore, if the attacks miss or enemies are already defeated, the Soul Fist brings little to the party.
• As a Death Shooter, you almost go into close combat with your strongest build and have to hit enemies in the back. The playstyle is a bit more specialized and difficult, so other classes are more useful in the group.

The best classes in PvP

Since we at MeinMMO have not yet had any deep experience with PvP, we rely on the website Maxroll.gg for the PvP Tier List. Among others, the well-known streamer Saintone and the YouTuber T-Party, who have already gathered many years of experience in the other versions of Lost Ark, write there.

Tier List for Low-Level PvP

Explanation of this list: The classes listed here are based on which classes are easy to learn and most forgiving of mistakes. At the top, therefore, is the Paladin, but it is also very strong in high-rank PvP.

Some classes, such as the Artificer or the Bard, get better once you have mastered them completely.

Tier List for High Rank PvP

Explanation of this list: The Tier List focuses on you mastering a class perfectly and your teammates and opponents as well. Then some classes are easier to counter, like the artilleryman who drops from A-tier to C-tier.

Other classes, such as Soulfist, Paladin, or Shadowhunter, experience an advancement because they are harder to counter.
