The Mini Jungle Cup is currently taking place in the PvP League in Pokémon GO. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at what kind of Cup this is and show you which monsters you should make the best use of.
How long does this cup run?
The Mini Jungle Cup started on September 27, 2021 at 22:00 and runs for a total of two weeks. It therefore ends again on 11 October 2021 at 22:00.
What is the Mini Jungle Cup?
Trainers in Pokémon GO can regularly compete against each other in the PvP League. Usually, these battles take place in the Super, Hyper, or Master League.
However, parallel to the Master League that is currently taking place, players can also compete in a very special Cup at the moment: the Mini Jungle Cup. Unlike the Master League, this one focuses primarily on the game’s little monsters. This means that a certain WP number must not be exceeded.
You also get triple stardust for winning, except when finishing a battle set.
These are the best attackers in the Mini Jungle Cup
Here’s what you should watch out for:
In the Mini Jungle Cup, you can only use certain Pokémon, so you should think about which monsters to include in your team in advance. Especially the respective strengths and weaknesses should be taken into account.
Here are some things to consider when choosing your monsters:
- the monsters must have a maximum of 500 WP
- it does not matter if they can evolve or not
- following types are allowed:
- Normal
- Plant
- Electric
- Poison
- Soil
- Flight
- Beetle
- Unlight
- you are not allowed to use:
You can use three Pokémon per battle. In the best case, you will have leveled them up to a maximum of 500 WP. Since this Cup is a very special battle league, you cannot use the usual tier list for the various leagues as a guide.

Which Pokémon are most worthwhile in the Mini Jungle Cup?
As in the Element Cup in June 2021, Waumboll and Piccolente are again among the best attackers in the Mini Jungle Cup.
In Waumboll’s case, this is mainly due to his combination of plant and fairy attacks. Especially with fairy attacks, trainers in the PvP league have had their difficulties in the past. In addition, Waumboll has strong defense and stamina.
Piccolente, on the other hand, can impress with his fast charging attack Blubbstrahl. With it, you can quickly take a shield or two from your opponent. Its flying attacks also make it very effective against Plant-type Pokémon. To defeat Piccolente, you should rely on Galar Flunschlik.
In addition to Piccolente, Altaria also makes a strong attacker against Plant Pokémon. This monster is also of the Flight Type and can impress with its Charge Attacks. However, this monster is especially strong in defense.
Another interesting attacker is Knuddeluff. The Pokémon of the types Fairy and Normal has only an average defense, but can convince especially with its endurance. Since it has several Fairy attacks, it could also be a challenge for some trainers. The best way to defeat it is with poison attacks.
What do you think of the Mini Jungle Cup? Will you participate in it? And which team will you use? Feel free to post your opinion here on MyMMO in the comments and share it with other trainers.
There’s a lot coming up in Pokémon GO in the next few weeks. We’ve taken a look at the events that await you in October and show you which ones are worthwhile.
