Currently, Pokémon GO is running the Hyper League in PvP battles. We at MeinMMO show you what this league is and tell you which monsters are best in battle in November 2021.
What kind of league is it?
In addition to catching Pokémon and fighting in Raids, you can also compete in the GO Battle League in Pokémon GO. In this league, you have the opportunity to compete against other trainers.
During a – Season , different leagues are run through, which have different requirements. Always there is the Super, Hyper and Master league. But you can also find other event-oriented leagues like the Mini Jungle Cup on a regular basis.
When does the Hyper League run?
The Hyperliga runs from October 25, 2021 at 22:00 local time until November 08 at 21:00 local time.
The 5 best attackers of the Hyper League
In the Hyper League, as in all PvP battles, 3 Pokémon may be set. These may have a maximum WP count of 2,500. For this reason, it makes sense to think about the following points in advance:
- Which Pokémon up to 2,500 WP are suitable for use?
- Can you level them up and have the appropriate amount of candies and stardust to do so?
- Might the monsters’ attacks need to be changed?
- What teams use other trainers?
In addition, you should make a balanced selection when building your team, so that you cover the weaknesses of as many different types as possible.
With the help of the PvPoke overview, we have summarized the 5 best Pokémon for you below (via pvpoke.com). All attacks marked with a (*) are special event attacks. Depending on the attack, these can only be learned with a Top Instant TM or Top Charge TM.
Registeel
The legendary monster Registeel is from the 3rd generation and, as its name suggests, is of the Steel type. It can score especially in defense and has a solid stability. Its attack, on the other hand, is only solid.
Particularly interesting are its two charge attacks, which cause enormous damage to the opponent. According to the ranking of PvPoke, it can convince with the following attacks in the Hyper League:
- Target Shot
- Focus shot
- Light gun
If your opponent relies on Registeel, then you should use combat, fire, and ground attacks. It is particularly sensitive to these.
Trombork
The ghost and plant Pokémon Trombork has only been in the game since the recent Halloween event. It can be evolved by Paragoni.
Its stats are all rather average. However, due to its type, it is very flexible in the PvP league, as it takes advantage of the weakness of some types, such as Ground, Psycho, and Battle Pokémon. Thus, it can be used excellently as a counter. It is best to use the following attacks:
- Dark claw
- Seed Bombs
- Spookball
Trombork, on the other hand, has a weakness against the types flight, fire, ghost, and ice.
Fiaro
Fiaro is the last evolution of Dartiti. It belongs to the Fire and Flight types. Similar to Trombork, it can only show average stats. Nevertheless, it is fast and does a lot of damage to the opponent with its attacks. Especially against plant and steel Pokémon it is best suited. It is best to use the following attacks:
- Incinerate*
- Nosedive
- Nitro charge
Fiaro is particularly sensitive to rock attacks, but electric and water attacks also trouble him.
Cresselia
The Psycho Pokémon Cresselia also ranks among the best monsters in the Hyper League according to PvPoke. Especially with its defense and endurance, the legendary Pokémon can convince. Its attack is rather solid.
With its instant attack Psycho Blade, it quickly comes to charge attack and especially with the help of Moon Force, it can cause a decent amount of damage to the opponent. Uses the following attacks in Hyper League:
- Psycho Blade
- Shrubber*
- Lunar Force
Cresselia is weak especially against attacks of the unlight, ghost and beetle types.
Galar Flunschlik
The ground and steel Pokémon Galar Flunschlik is one of the 5th generation monsters. It could already convince in the Super League as one of the best monsters and according to PvPoke it is also best in the Hyper League.
Galar Flunschlik mainly benefits from a long stamina. Its defense, on the other hand, is rather solid. Relies on the following attacks in the Hyper League:
- Clay Shot
- Stone hail
- Earthquake
However, due to its type, Galar Flunschlik has a weakness against attacks of the types Combat, Fire, Water, and Ground.

These teams use other trainers
Those who regularly participate in the GO Battle League know that not always only the monsters recommended by PvPoke are used by other trainers. Often, completely different monsters are used in battle or only a few of the listed Pokémon are used.
This is mainly due to the fact that a team in the PvP League must be well-matched. We took a look at which team the YouTuber Poké AK prefers to use in the Hyper League and also show you which monsters are frequently used according to The Silph Road.
This is the team YouTuber Poké AK uses
YouTuber Poké AK gives you an insight into what another trainer’s team might look like. In his video, he shows how he proceeds in battle and which is his favorite team in the Hyper League.
Crucially, he tries to use the strengths of each monster in each case, which is why he changes them regularly during the battle. Poké AK himself describes his team under the video as “probably the best GO Battle League team” he has ever put together.
The Silph Road’s Hyper League results.
The community of The Silph Road is also grappling with the GO Battle League and the stakes of each team. The Silph Road is a global group of trainers, dataminers, and Pokémon GO fans who have come together to learn more about Pokémon GO and analyze the game. They then make their findings publicly available to other trainers.
Of course, they also dealt with the PvP League in the process and therefore list the teams seen at regular intervals. So also in the Hyperleague. As of today (01.11.2021), 77 different teams of the Hyperliga have been registered by the coaches (via silph.gg).
In their overview, it becomes clear once again how different the use of Pokémon is in the Hyperliga. According to this, many trainers use monsters like Cresselia, Giratina (change form), and Sumpex, which also rank high in PvPoke. However, there are also Pokémon like Togekiss, which are listed much later according to PvPoke (via pvpoke.com).
According to this, the following monsters were used most often:
- Sumpex was represented in 16 teams
- Giratina (Wandelform) was spotted in 13 teams
- Cresselia was used 9 times
- Glurak and Togekiss have each been in 8 teams
- Pixi appeared in 7 fights
Do you compete regularly in the Hyper League? Which team do you prefer to use? Or is PvP not your thing? Feel free to post your opinions and experiences here in the comments and share them with other trainers on MeinMMO.
