The 5 best apps of the week: short links, reminders and Rocket League – eSportsNews eSports RocketLeague

For the third Advent, we have once again picked out , and other applications that you should definitely try out. In addition to our articles with explicitly free apps, you can also find paid apps here.

At NextPit, we deal with the latest top smartphones every week. Of course, we also install heaps of apps that we stumble across in the Google and the AppStore. In addition to my recommendations, I also take from the NextPit community.

Moodreads

Moodreads is an app I covered earlier this week when it was temporarily available for free in the . If you’ve committed the majestic crime of not devoutly reading ALL of my articles, and thus missed the promotion, now is the time to discover this little app darling.

The app allows you to play music that matches the book you are reading. Just enter the title of a book of your choice in the search bar and the app will suggest a piece of music that matches the mood of your book.

The search function is not very far reaching and sometimes you have to add the author’s name to find the right book. However, I was able to find books in my native language, and as long as your book is fiction (not essays, manuals, etc.), you have a good chance of finding it.

Moodreads is not an app for reading ebooks! You play music inspired by your books.

Toodays

Toodays is a French app that claims to be a kind of virtual vault for your memories that you can literally pass on to your descendants or relatives.

A sort of shoebox full of photos, but in digital form, where you can store your snapshots, add a caption or audio note, and “stow” it away so that it can be passed on to your children or grandchildren.

The idea of creating your own emotional and memory heritage sounds quite nice on paper. The application is in French, but I believe it will adapt to the language of your system. There is a paid version that lets you add an unlimited number of memories, etc., but I find the free version sufficient for now.

– Shorts hare

– Shorts hare is an iOS app for shortening links. So there you go. And don’t whine – I could have written “jkhsdjkhfjksdhf / ref0810 / .ly.” instead.

Cülür

Ah, that’s a name that flatters your ears, isn’t it? Cülür is an app that lets you instantly turn your own pictures into “paint by numbers” works.

You know, those coloring pictures that are divided into different sections that have a number assigned to them and you have to fill in with the corresponding color. All you have to do is import your photo, choose the type of coloring (with pencils, markers, etc. and how many colors) and the difficulty level from three suggested levels and you’re ready to go.

Finally, of course, you need to print the result or simply export it and color it digitally. Just as you like.

Rocket League Sideswipe

Rocket League: Sideswipe is the mobile version of the now almost cult Rocket League, in which you play soccer with a giant ball and small racing cars.

So much for the basic idea, but Rocket League: Sideswipe, like the original game, offers much deeper gameplay than it seems at first glance. I know I say it a lot and then never do: but I really feel like writing a separate article about this game.

The developers really went out of their way to reinvent the way Rocket League is played and adapt it to a game meant for smartphones. And personally, I think they’ve done a great job of it, and I can see myself getting into a frenzy in the evening after several high-level multiplayer games.

  • Price: free / ads: no / in-app purchases: no (not yet) / account: Not required

What do you think of this selection? Have you already tested any of the apps from this list? What would be your ?
