Playing video games together as a family can be a fun activity. When there are a lot of people to entertain at once, such as at a birthday party or family reunion, it can be difficult to satisfy all tastes and ages.
If you own a Nintendo Switch, you’ve definitely already won over the younger half of the family, as this console offers plenty of great kid-friendly couch co-op and multiplayer games.
Here are 15 of our favorite games to play with your family, whether it’s just the two of you or you want to have fun with the whole family.

“Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is fantastic, but what really makes it stand out is the fact that it can be played in two very different ways: as a competitive game and as a fun party activity.”
With a plethora of weapons, Smash Balls, and four-on-four battles, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a ton of fun. However, playing Final Destination with a friend in a one-on-one match is just as entertaining.

2. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Metacritic: Critic Rating: 92/100
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you can race on 48 unique tracks. It takes some practice to avoid the hazards associated with each track. Everything from the 2014 Mario Kart 8 DLC packs for the WiiU is included, including tracks and characters. You’ll also meet a number of brand new personalities.
To unlock the best karts, you’ll have to compete in some races. When you finish first in races, you’ll receive coins that will give you access to new areas. These upgrades will make your kart an even more fearsome opponent on the track, so make sure you get your hands on them. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe you’ll be able to choose between three different kart bodies. Besides, it’s easy to play online with other people you know or with complete strangers from all over the world. It’s never difficult to find races.
3rd Just Dance (latest in the series).

With fewer Joy-Cons required, the dance game is more accessible, and support for up to six players at once makes it a fun and social experience for the whole family. Popular songs from many genres are included on the current track list, from K-pop to indie rock.

If you and your family are looking for a new board game to play together, you should try Mario Party: Superstars as an alternative to Ludo or Settlers of Catan.
It’s an upbeat video board game with lots of fun mini-games for everyone to enjoy. Even though the mini-games have gotten old and aren’t all fun, Mario Party: Superstars is still one of the best local multiplayer games for the Nintendo Switch.
6 Splatoon 2

7. Luigi’s Mansion 3
Metacritic: Critic Rating: 86/100
With Luigi’s Mansion 3, the series is back on solid ground. Although no sequel has come close to the original Luigi’s Mansion for Nintendo GameCube in terms of surprises and gameplay, each new installment has done a respectable job of keeping the series going.
If you’re playing locally with a friend or family member, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is fantastic. One person takes control of Luigi, while the other can control Gooigi. Although Luigi is easier to control overall, younger players or those with less gaming experience might find Gooigi’s immunity to spikes and other obstacles an attractive feature.
Although the co-op option is not immediately accessible, it is worth unlocking (a single player will have to continue the storyline quite a bit before the multiplayer option is unlocked).
Rounding out this really nice, scary family game that everyone can have fun with is a series of multiplayer mini-games for up to eight players.

The game’s strange concept is reinforced by the fact that it can be played with either button controls or motion controls, which is perhaps the game’s best feature. 13th Monopoly For Nintendo Switch

You can relive the joy of Monopoly from your childhood. The Monopoly game for Nintendo Switch is the pinnacle of the board game thanks to its high realism and low setup and cleanup time.
