Script:
After a long row of requests and much talk, ottr releases the . Specifically focusing down on the basics of the school of the otter movement – the tap strafe. Tap Strafe Guides have been made by several creators but none of them include so many different uses, and none of them introduce them in the way of the tap strafe CEO – ottr. is currently working on one of these guides but ottrontwitch was first with the for Apex Legends – Season 9.

Ottr shows the different ways you can tap strafe, with 180 bounces – wall hops and redirections. There are several uses for the tap strafe-

180 hops ( By constantly repeating the tap strafe 180 move you can keep bouncing around on the spot, making yourself difficult to hit. These are different than bhops, as you keep your momentum and thus swing wider than a traditional bhop spam)
Jumping off a ledge and back on ( Jumping over an edge and tap strafing back will let you juke out your opponents )
Sharp turns on jumppads ( Tap strafing when you hit the second hop lets you take sharper turns. Not only can you use the double hop for a tap strafe but if you wanna take another direction you can use a quick hop over the pad and tap strafe spin to reset and jump at the right direction)
Quick direction changes off high velocity movement such as grapple ( Sliding down bunker doors on KC, pathfinder bouncing )

Wallhop into 180 (As soon as you hit the wall quickly turn away from the wall and keep tap strafing as you’re moving )
Descending staircases (Sliding down certain buildings and then hopping, tap strafing and repeat allows you to descend fast)
Skipping the climb animation ( Wall hopping and bouncing with a short tap strafe allows you to skip a climb animation entirely. This is already possible with a wall hop, but by tap strafing you skip the “float” time and grab the edge sooner than if you use a normal wall hop frame skip)
180 into wallhop (Favourite style move, run around an edge and 180 tap strafe – allows yourself to wallhop like usual. For extra style points you can tap strafe out of that wall hop as well)
Zip line hop tap strafe. ( You can use the tapstrafe to control your direction coming out of a zipline, either by a zipline superjump or bouncing on the zipline on the way up. I haven’t practiced more than a few bounces but I can see someone going for a very specific type of movement using this)
