Which event is it about? Under the name “Test your nerves”, a big steel event will start in Pokémon GO on Friday. Included are plenty of Steel Pokémon that you can encounter in the wild and in Raids. And new Pokémon will also make their debut in the game on this occasion. The event will also be rounded off with various bonuses.

When does the steel event start? The Steel Event “Test Your Nerve” starts on September 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM local time and runs until September 21, 2022 at 8:00 PM local time.

All new Pokémon for the Steel Event

Four new monsters are making their debut in Pokémon GO as part of the Steel Event: Kaguron, Katagami, Togedemaru and Mega-Stolloss. Below we briefly introduce the new monsters.

Kaguron: Kaguron is an Ultra Beast of the Steel and Flight types. It dates back to the 7th game generation and has no advancements or upgrades. You can recognize Kaguron by a kind of silver-gray metal armor that wraps around its otherwise thin white body.

The Pokémon, unlike the other spawns of the event, will be found in Level 5 Raids as early as September 13, 2022, but only in the southern hemisphere. So if you want to get the monster, you have to invite your friends to a corresponding raid abroad.

Katagami: While you can only find Kaguron in the southern hemisphere in the coming days, Katagami will take over the level 5 raids in the northern hemisphere during this time. The Ultra Beast is also from the 7th game generation and can be assigned to the types Plant and Steel. Just like Kaguron, it has no advancements or evolutions.

You can recognize the “Sword Art Pokémon” by its white, paper-thin body, which is reminiscent of an origami, as well as the yellow and orange decorations.

Togedemaru: Another new Pokémon that you can catch for the first time for the Steel Event is Togedemaru. Also known as the “Unifier Pokémon,” this electric and steel Pokémon is also from the 7th generation of games.

Its cute, white-gray, round body is adorned with brownish and yellow spikes that it can use for defense. This Pokémon also does not have a pre-evolution or evolution. You can find it throughout the event in the wild and in raids, as well as in the rewards of the research tasks.

Mega Stolloss: One Pokémon that many players have been eagerly awaiting for some time is Mega Stolloss. The Steel Pokémon can finally be found in the Mega Raids with the start of the Steel Event. Mega evolution can then also be temporarily activated from the steel and rock Pokémon Stolloss using the corresponding Mega Energy.
