Starcraft Units – War Prism

War Prism

WAR PRISM DESCRIPTION

For thousands of years, the protoss have studied the nature of space and time. Through their meticulous research work and elaborate experiments, their scientists succeeded in unlocking many of the mysteries of the universe. Eventually, using psionic manufacturing processes, the Protoss created an artificial consciousness whose programming is embedded in the molecules of an advanced crystal grid core. This “crystal computer” is capable of manipulating matter and energy with precision in ways that an organic mind could never do.

The Protoss use this warp prism in many ways. Its primary function is to transport Protos troops around the battlefield. Both living and non-organic objects are converted into energy. Your unique energy signature is stored in the crystal lattice core of the prism. Upon reaching the target point, the entire process is reversed and the stored energy signatures are converted back to matter around the warp prism.

In its second function, the Warp Prism acts as a mobile focus for the Protoss Psi-Matrix. After setting up the Prism, it powers all surrounding Protoss structures. Warp prisms configured in this way are often used as temporary replacements for destroyed pylons in a colony, or allow for the rapid establishment of an outpost.

PROTOSS

General Information

With their advanced technologies, the Protoss manage to spread fear and terror throughout the universe. A variety of different combat robots, as well as some specially trained fighters who possess psi powers, are available to the Protoss in their battles against other forces. However, these also have their price, the of fighters and upgrading with robots, not only devours vast amounts of resources, but also costs a lot of time.

The Protoss are considered the oldest and most developed race, but their old culture also has disadvantages. The Protoss naturally see themselves as autocrats and do not adapt to the new dangers, they remain in their rigid caste system and preserve the strict hierarchy in their culture at all costs.
