Starcraft Units – Thor

Thor

The Thor project was kept secret from the start. Agents of the Umojan Protectorate were the to unearth clues that the Terran was feverishly completing a new type of superweapon. Rumors of the hermetic sealing off of the gigantic Simonson Munitions Works on the planet Korhal IV by League forces first piqued the interest of the Umojans. Something big was going on. Something so important that they even went so far as to practically quarantine the workers at the Simonson plants to prevent information leakage.

The Umojan Protectorate promptly responded by dispatching a special spy task force to learn more about the true nature of the League’s covert project. Hacked cargo data indicated regular shipments of neosteel armor plates for heavy cruisers going back well over a year. Passive sensors placed by agents around the fabrication facility recorded recurring high-intensity electromagnetic discharges and periodic earthquakes. Additionally, the constant presence of senior League officers seemed to indicate that the project was nearing completion. But despite all these scraps of information, the Umojan team continued to grope in the dark.

Frustrated by their lack of progress, the Umojans began to consider more drastic measures. A young agent named Ulli Trey agreed to take the risk of directly infiltrating the fabrication facilities. At first, her superiors were tempted to reject her request, but due to a lack of alternatives, they finally had to agree to this dangerous mission. Trey’s approach was flawless: she liquidated the local league commander’s driver and took his place. As she had expected, the rigorous security checks for navigating the outer ring of perimeters focused primarily on the senior officer, with no regard for his driver.

After successfully penetrating the fabrication facility, Trey unleashed a series of miniature nanotechnology spy drones that shadowed the League Commander as he moved deeper and deeper into the facility. From that point on, Trey had no choice but to wait and hope that the stealth capabilities of her miniature spy drones would be enough to prevent detection by security forces.

Within hours, Agent Trey was able to safely exit the facility; with a bunch of information about what is arguably the most important military development project in the League since the end of the Brood War conflict: Project Thor. When examined, the video footage of the miniature spy drones revealed a huge, bipedal war machine armed with two gigantic particle beams and a rear-mounted artillery battery worthy of a battlecruiser. Even more troubling, however, was the fact that this technological monster can be completely crafted by a simple construction vehicle in a relatively small amount of time. Shocked by their discovery and hoping

TERRAN

General Information

The Terrans can neither boast impressive technologies nor unbeatable masses, they seem to be the least dangerous race in the universe. However, this is also their strength, often underestimated by the enemy, they can attack from ambush and thus take advantage of the surprise effect. The Terran forces are often formed from prisoners who want to shorten their sentence. These fighters, assigned to the infantry, are often poorly trained, but have an iron will to fight. Smaller war machines, such as the infamous tanks, are often used to support the foot troops.

The Terrans’ greatest enemy seems to be the Terrans themselves: Shattered by internal conflicts and wars, the Terrans have never been able to form a cohesive army to reach their full potential.
