WoW TD 2 takes the classic tower defense formula, injects the art and lore of World of WarCraft, and then mixes in the pacing of fun and fast mini-games. One to eight players can take on waves of monsters — including ogres, dragons, and Deathwing himself — by strategically placing towers that damage, slow, and stun their quarry.
Though some are mechanical towers, many of these playable ‘structures’ are characters from World of Warcraft, such as Orc warriors, Goblin rogues, and Draenei mages. Your heroes can wear items that are dropped from slain enemies, increasing their attributes. An interesting feature in WoW TD 2 is if given the right combination of items, your characters can be transformed and gain all new attributes. For instance, equipping the Night Elf with Angelic Halo and Angelic Wings will transform her into an Angel with glowing armor.
Mini-games offer players a chance to earn bonus materials and break up the typical tower defense game-flow. There are also times where natural disasters strike and the map is suddenly flooded, preventing players from planting new towers. Combined with a wave of flying enemies, this can spell doom for players who wait too long to construct their defenses.
StarCraft Heroes – Gabriel Tosh.
Gabriel Tosh grew up with his grandmother in the slums of Haji. Throughout his childhood he assumed that his considerable psionic powers were actually voodoo magic. It wasn’t until he was drafted into the Confederacy that those specializing in their discovery recognized his powers.
Planets StarCraft – Korhal.
Korhal IV is the headquarters of the Terran League, and its irradiated surface is a common testament to humanity’s warlike past in the Koprulu Sector. The planet is the fourth in the Korhal system and is often simply called “Korhal”. It was green and had a mild climate when it was colonized by the Tarsonian settlers in the early years of Terran expansion.
StarCraft Units – Zergling.
The wild little Dunewalkers of the Zz’gash sand world were admitted to the swarm to serve as scouts and attack troops of the first wave. While little more than wild animals, Zerglings work well together under the command of larger Zerg warriors. The voracious Zerglings are very fond of tearing their foes to pieces with the help of their razor-sharp curved claws and fangs.
StarCraft Units – Ultralisk.
The Ultralisk is a late-game Hive-tech unit that is only available once the Zerg player has an Ultralisk Cavern. It is very expensive costing 200 Vespene Gas, but has a great deal of health and its speed is still on par with Zerglings. It features two specific upgrades, for movement speed and unit armor, both at the Ultralisk Cavern.
StarCraft Missions – Rendezvous.
Head straight east (1) with Kerrigan and once you’ve collected the first few resources, build an extractor and a hatching slime pool. From the location of the second resources, you can hit the bunker at (1) with a kinetic wave to burn it up. The Marines stationed there will be in pursuit of Kerrigan and can be taken out quite easily with a well-placed Crushing Grip.
StarCraft Buildings – Spore Crawler.
The Spore Crawler is a Zerg base anti-air static defense structure, which deals 15 points of damage to air units and has the ability to detect cloaked units. Although similar to the Spore Colony, the Spore Crawler has the distinct ability to Uproot itself and Root in a new location, giving it very good mobility and a more flexible use.
